Smooth and elegant, light body, creamy mouthfeel, light spicing from coriander and orange peel give a wonderfully malty/spicy sweet ale. Big alcohol lurking underneath a light and frothy exterior

22oz bottle... Carbonation? Not really, no head or lace. Hazy copper color. Sweet fruit and floral aroma...blossoms...aroma is fairly mute though. Malty and somewhat sweet with an earthy herbal medicinal sort of bitterness. Alcohol shows up in the finish. Really, not very enjoyable...saison? sorry, just call this a spiced ale. It doesn’t come close to hitting the saison mark. Thanks Kevin, for giving me the chance to try this!

Pours clear amber orange amber with a whitish head. Aroma is light lemony sweet yeast. Flavor is light bitterness, a bit of lemon curd and not much lingering. It is a few years old.

[Bottle] Cloudy yellow color is accented by a billowing foamy head. Nose is of malts, straw and barnyard funk. Cleaner floral flavors are strong. Little funk in the taste. Chamomile, coriander and lemongrass are all featured in the taste as well. Sweet and malty finish. Tastes much better than it smells.

Bottle. Odd take on a saison for sure. Pours hazy amber gold with a small off-white head that dissipates quickly and leaves little lacing. Aroma is sweet; corn syrup, honey, grass, yeast, coriander. Flavor is the same, medium sweet and light bitter, a lot of honey/corn syrup, plus grass, lemon zest and coriander, plus a spicy rye note to it. Medium body.

This beer more or less grows on you. Very sweet with a nice fruity taste. Thought I was having candy until the alcohol hit me. From notes.

65 cl bottle.
Pours cloudy orange color with a small rapidly dissipating head. Aroma is fruity and some distant cardboard notes, hops, grass and apricot also. Flavor is juicy with apricot and orange, some yeast and hops. This wasn’t the most fresh bottle but still quite good.

650 ml bottle.
Pours a cloudy orange colour with a small head. Aroma of pineapple, citrus and some maltiness. Flavour of pineapple, some cardboard, floral notes, pale malts and citrus. Medium bodied, slick mouthfeel and soft carbonation. I like the amount of citrus here. Refreshing.

Aroma is stuffy with hay, some sweet fruits, earthy notes, citrus and some spices. Flavour has soapy citrus, some apricot and fruity tones. Stuffy but refreshing.

Pours murky yellowish orange with a small white head. Aroma of juicy fruitness, spices, earthy notes, yeast and orange peel. Taste is juicy, smooth and sweetish with hints of spices, orange peel and yeast. Finish is juicy and malty with some sweet fruity notes. Quite juicy for a saison.

Thank you to ThirstyBird for sharing! Rating from January 2013. The beer is slightly cloudy und the glass. The smell is slightly sharp, a bit earthy-yeasty. Lots of carbonation, full-bodied, but easy drinkable. Saison-typical spicy and slightly sharp-sour. The aftertaste is long, spicy, slightly malty, bloomy.
interesting US-interpretation of a Saison. --> 12/11/10/10
