Thin, disappearing head (probably due to bartender draft pour). Darker almost nut brown color. Sweet, caramel aroma and very sweet, roasted, slight chocolate flavor. Clean mouthfeel for so many roasted grains and higher ABV.

Beer with great sounding name. Dark nut brown color, huge cloudy brownish head. Toffeish malty aroma, light notes of whi cream. Fudge, whisky and chocolate - sweetish and liquerish palate. Nice dessert beer and good example of Scottish ale.

Copper brown; small lingering head. Aroma of alcohol and amber malts, some peat, smoke and old tennis shoes. Flavor of sweet malts and caramel, slight alcohol, smoke, scotch, wet cardboard, hops, mocha. Tasted many times over the years and generally enjoyable.

Bottled (Thanks heemer77!). Dark murky brown/red colour with big off-white head. Lacing. Aroma is caramel, meat, yeast, spices and caramel malts. Very interesting and different, once it warms up, it also gets quite much ginger bread in it. Flavour is ginger bread, spices, fruity hops, cookies and flowery hops on the tongue. Very different from mostly anything I have had before.

Bottle, Will’s front yard. Taste of peat, smoke, all malt. Enjoyably complex. A small hint of Dewars or Blackbush in there somewhere. Could only have a couple- heavy taste and mouthfeel. Well done.
