COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A pale ale made in honor of the twins who founded the city of Rome. Using the same malted barley recipe as his twin, Remus, they differ only in the single hop variety, this one with Apollo hops.

Cask@GBBF2007. Honeyish golden colour with mediumsized white head, which vanishes fast. Aroma is bigtime grapes, fruity hops and nectar. Really nice balance. Flavour is nectary sweet along with sweet grassy and fruity hops. Some slight hints of alcohol is also showing.

GBBF 2007 - Amber, small reducing head. Devilishly hopped. Long taste with bitter, mild and bitter elements. The malt is light and the hops are unconventional (perhaps the solo Appollo hops additions?). All in all a very tasty beer. Can’t wait to try this one again.

orangish gold pour. Aroma is herbal somewhat fruity from the hop. Light caramel backs it, maybe a touch of bread. Not bad, but fairly boring. Not up to 3F standards, especially for an APA. You can tell they’re different, but I’m not sure how to put it into words. They are very similar.

Cask gravity at GBBF 2007. It’s fine. Piney. Bit lacking in flavour actually. Bit too piney on the finish to be pleasant.

A Mes rate: Gravicask at GBBF. Dark gold colour with a thin rim of white bubbles. Amazing grassy hopfest of a beer. Lovely and crisp with peach and grapefruit and a whole manner of other citric stuff. Sharp bitter finish. Yum yum.

Cask conditioned - gravity dispense - GBBF 2007. A bright orange gold coloured beer. The aroma has lovely hops full of grapefruit, orange and lychee. The taste is sharp and bitter. Good citrus notes, both orange and grapefruit. Good stuff.

Cask at Great British Beer Festival ’07. Dark gold. Grapefruit aroma with something else, yeasty and spicy. Sweet fruity taste with grass and rocket leaves. Some late bitterness. Very smooth and eminently drinkable.

On tap at brewpub; poured a copper/gold color. Large white head. Aroma of citrus and spice. Flavor was similar; nice clean taste, liked both versions about the same. Good for the style.
