Bomber bottle shared, 5 ounce portions. I had high hopes for hops glory here and they were met, surprisingly, given the beer’s probable 3-month shelf time. If you like the big, juicy, grapefruit hop flavor, this is a safe bet. Rye Da Tiger sits somewhere between Zombie Dust and Dreadnaught in my personalized puckering index. Pale orange appearance, bubbly. Grapefruit and sour flavor. I didn’t pick up on a rye element. The big abv is concealed nicely. Aroma of grapefruit and abundant citrus. Palate is medium bodied, smooth. Overall, it’s a nice’n juicy hop showcase.

Appearance: Pours a clear amber gold with a beige ring and micro film.

Aroma: Grapefruit, dank tangerine. Brown sugar.

Taste: Grapefruit citrus like hop. Dry spicy malt. Hop biterness that lingers.

Mouthfeel: Juicy medium bodied modest carbonation.

Overall: Tasty, hoppy, super drinkable, especially for something nearing 9%. My evolving palate likes this way better than Dreadnaught.

Poured from bomber. Not a great aroma but a solid citrus taste. Not much rye flavor and a pine after taste.

Patrickctenchi (3606) - Cox’s Knob, columbus, Indiana, USA - MAR 17, 2013
Pours hazy golden-yellow with a short white head. Aroma of rye, grapefruit peel. Taste is a rye malt, citrus hops. Deep, rich rye flavour over a well balanced hoppiness. Very enjoyable.

Pours murky orange with a super pillowy white head and tons of thick lacing left behind. Aroma is tropical fruit, dank hops, and pine. Taste is rye, citrus, pine, and grapefruit. Smooth palate, medium carbonation. Overall light and tasty brew. Great ipa.

Bottle. Pours hazy gold with a fluffy white head. Nose is piney and citrusy hops and a slight metallic twinge. Taste is more focused on the citrusy hops with a hint of more English style hops. Rye isn't as prominent as I hoped but still very tasty. Palate is perfect. Soft and full. Nice beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Another gem. 24-karat pour with hints of crimson, scarlet, and tangerine topped with an ivory foam. Candied orange, mango, papaya and guava accompanied honey-baked biscuit and spicy black pepper. Think of citrus jam spread generously across toasted marbled-rye bread. Tasty...the breakfast of champions!
