4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 MIBRomeo (2350) - Wisconsin, USA - FEB 10, 2013Hazy off orange pour w/ a thick tall well laced white head densly made up of little bubbles and dissapates into some soapy looking head. Aroma is first a big hit of citrus and fruity hop aromas. Then some sweet caramel a hint of rye comes through lightly then gets covered up by a second wave of grassy hops. Palate is rich and lightly creamy. Flavor is subtly sweet on the front some of that is probably from the Rye as well with a resinous slightly piney finish a lingering bitterness is light and balances the malty front end. Loads of piney hops in the aftertaste, not much of the fruitiness in the front that I liked so much in the nose. Thoroughly enjoyable, but lacking a bit of balance that some maturity might give it.

Pours a clear medium amber. Nose is peach, resin, honey and some traces of petrol. Taste is quite funky, with ripe bananas, honey, orange zest, toffee, resin. Quite weird and somewhat unbalanced.

Bottle at the DISOB tasting, Den Haag. Poured a slightly hazy amber with a thin tan head. The aroma is rich fruity and a shade alcoholic. The flavour is medium to strong bitter, rich liquorice, fruit and a lovely lingering warm rich bitterness in the finish. A super beer and well worth the rating.
