Bottle sample at a tasting at the Beer & Beyond shop. Thanks DSG. Hazy amber with white head. Hoppy aroma: pine, purple and blue, a little soapy. Very bitter, hoppy, a little dry and juicy - almost fruit juice in the end. Medium body, hoppy-bitter finish, mildly carbonated.

Bomber. Cloudy golden body. Frothy white head, slowly diminishing. Aroma of citrus, passion fruit, melon, rye, orange peel, grapefruit rind, resin, toasted grain. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and moderately bitter. Medium to full body, velvety texture, lively carbonation. Reminds me of Dreadnaught with a rye twang. The flavors of fresh citrus fruit, sweet orange and melon get washed over by hop bitterness. Great balance. Complex. Smooth, easy to drink. Outstanding.

650 ml bottle courtesy of queenholly. Thanks Rebekah. Pours a cloudy orange-ish color with a small white head that slowly recedes to a film. The aroma is medium in strength vegetables and cat piss. Cant say that I really dug the aroma too much. The taste, unlike the aroma, is a masterpiece--I get rye grains, apricots, melons, mild spices, oranges and perhaps some sweetened grapefruit. The palate is full and silky smooth with soft carbonation. Finishes long with lingering spicy hops. Overall: Decent DIPA, a bit like Alpine Nelson on steroids.

UPDATED: OCT 29, 2012 Had while camping out for Surly Darkness Day. Big time pine and citrus scents and flavors, one of my favorites of the night.

22 oz bomber. Poured hazy golden color. Aroma is sweet biscuit and citrus. Taste of sweet malts, citrus/orange. Way too sweet for my liking. Had trouble getting through the whole 22 oz.

Bottle. Hazy orange pour, HUGE frothy head, and bitter oranges, rye, & herbal hop aroma. Flavor is also a nice meld of herbs, hops and hints of rye throughout and finished a little sweet/orangey. Decent beer, but too pricey to buy more than once.

Bomber from Mikkeller & Friends. Pours pretty much clear light amber with thick white head, nothing special so far. Take a sniff, however, and that changes. Lovely aroma of light pine, floral, heaps of tropical fruit, light caramel. Taste is sweet with a light hoppy bitter backbone. Lingering resin hoppy finish. Body is medium with soft carbonation. Not entirely sold... A very good beer, for sure, but had kind of expected more, especially after having been introduced to Alpha King, Dreadnaught and the brilliant Zombie Dust this weekend.

Pours cloudy orange amber with a 3 finger, chunky off white head and high effervescence. Aroma is huge on citrus, tropical fruit and floral hops, some pine, biscuit, a little caramel and spiciness that could be hops, rye, or a combination of the two. Big tropical fruit, citrus, pine and spicy hops, biscuit, toast, cereal and twiggy pine. medium to heavy body, light carbonation, and a creamy to chewy feel. Fantastic stuff.

bottle from arkurzynski. Pours unclear orange with a frothy white head that dissipates to a soapy film and collar. Aroma is bright grapefruit pine and subtle melon and bread/malt. Taste bitter rye bread resinous pine grapefruit some spruce and rind. Palate is medium and finishes chalky dry. This is what I was in the mood for a good bitter IIPA. Thanks Adam!
