Enjoyed on tap at FFF. Served in a half pint. A: Pours a clear golden yellow color with some amber hues. A fluffy white head recedes to a thin ring and leaves sticky sheets of lace behind. S: Some rye earthiness and spiciness with a dash of fruity hops. Some nice citrus with grapefruits and oranges with a dash of sticky strawberry jam. T: The taste is very much like the nose. Spicy rye with some citrus and sticky berry hops profiles. There is a touch of bitterness in the finsh as well. M: Medium bodied with a sticky and oily mouthfeel. Medium carbonation with a bitter finish. O: I definitely enjoyed this guy, but I found Rye’da Lightning a far superiour beer. I think it lost some of its drinkability with the imperializing of it. A good beer that I would like to have again, though. Serving type: on-tap Reviewed on: 09-28-2012

Bottle at Mads, 20/05 2013. Beautiful clear orange, with a small white head, some lacing. The aroma starts off with citrus and pine, ends with sweet exotic fruit, honey, peach. The taste is special, hoppy, some peach, ends a little spicy, leaves a bitter aftertaste.

Pours a clear medium amber. Nose is peach, resin, honey and some traces of petrol. Taste is quite funky, with ripe bananas, honey, orange zest, toffee, resin. Quite weird and somewhat unbalanced. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle at the DISOB tasting, Den Haag. Poured a slightly hazy amber with a thin tan head. The aroma is rich fruity and a shade alcoholic. The flavour is medium to strong bitter, rich liquorice, fruit and a lovely lingering warm rich bitterness in the finish. A super beer and well worth the rating.
