Pour is dark copper with a light tan head, decent lacing. Aroma is on the hops side with notes of grapefruit, caramel malts, and toffee. Flavor is a bit more robust and nutty with a dry grassy finish.

Draft at Hunahpu Day 2013 with Andrew and Maggi. Pours a deep brown body with thin light brown lacing. Aroma is light hop and malt - somewhat faint but nice. Mouthfeel is medium with a wonderful hop prescence for a brown ale. Very sessionable as well.

Enjoyed on tap at the 3 Floyd’s brewpub in Munster, IN. This was a pretty intense brew, so intense that I really couldn’t finish my imperial pint. Appearance is a dark murky brown with a moderate slightly off-white head. Aroma is pretty hoppy with chocolate and toffee notes. Taste is very pine hop aggressive (as the description states), almost a bit too much for me and at points it was like I was drinking hop resin with a bit of chocolate and caramel. It’s not bad, just too much.

Not like most browns that you would have. Had at draft at 3F pub. Nose and taste has caramel and toffee, with hoppy taste and finish. Not a bad beer, but had the 3F tendancy to be a bit over hopped.

Very hoppy for a brown. Pine citrius aroma. Starts like a classic floyds ipa. Finishes like a brown.

Draft at Cigar City during Humahpu Day 2012.
Pours a dark chocolate brown color with amber/hazelnut hues and a half finger beige head that quickly settles into a lasting ring. Sporadic spots of lacing left behind.
Sweet, slightly roasted aroma with chocolate and caramel malt notes along with subtle lactic cream and earthy hops. Hints of toffee, hazelnut and toast followed by a resinous, grassy pine character.
Medium bodied with a strong hop presence up front that provides a dry bitterness that dominates the flavor. Dry grassy pine needle flavor is very prominent, overpowering most of the malt notes. The hops are slowly countered by sweet and roasted dark malts. It tastes more like an India brown ale with subtle notes of toffee, chocolate, caramel and nut. Pretty good but too hoppy for the style in my opinion.

Pint draft at R.J. Grunts. Cinnamon, brown sugar, and hops pop out. It wasn’t too bubbly on my tongue, and it had a stronger abv presence than most brown ales I’ve tried. Medium-to-heavy bodied. It’ll fill you up.
