A strong American Brown ale with an aggressive hop presence. A manly beer named after the manly and quintessential Steve McQueen film. “Not your father’s brown ale” - A. Mason Brewer

Rated on 4-25-2016 at Dash-In, Fort Wayne, IN. This draft beer’s appearance is a small tan head that is mostly lasting, opaque dark brown body and a good amount of lacing adorns the glass. The aroma presents citrus hops, fruity, toffee, caramel and malt. The flavor presents moderate bitterness, citrus hops, fruity, toffee, lightly roasted malt, and caramel. The mouthfeel is smooth and this beer is light-medium bodied. A very quaffable beer that has a good taste, worth trying and a beer that I would drink again.

This draft brew from a beer bar poured a head of foamy finely sized light brown colored bubbles that were long lasting and left behind a very softly carbonated opaque except at the edges dark black brown colored body. The mild aroma was mild malt. The crisp mouth feel was tingly at the start and strongly tingly at the finish with a mild mild roasted malt aftertaste. The ok flavor contained notes of roasted malt brown malt and hops. A decent one that I would consider drinking again.

Draft to taster at The Pint Room in Carmel. Looks solid; a translucent copperish brown with foamy beige head. Smells and tastes malty with notes of chocolate, bitter hops, and toast. Mouthfeel is medium-bodied. Intense for the style, but solid nonetheless.

Tap at FFF. Clear dark ruby. Excellent sheets of tan lacing. Nose is fresh peppermint, sage, pine. Taste is dry, dusty, loads of white pepper, spruce and waxy pine sap bitterness. Sage herbal overload. Delicious. Can be a bit dusty but comes across as cocoa powder bag mixed with crushed white pepper.

On tap at Three Floyds, Black pour, thin off white head. Aroma of piney hops dominates, some malt. Taste is some piny hops up front, fades to choc malt

Pour is dark copper with a light tan head, decent lacing. Aroma is on the hops side with notes of grapefruit, caramel malts, and toffee. Flavor is a bit more robust and nutty with a dry grassy finish.

Draft at Hunahpu Day 2013 with Andrew and Maggi. Pours a deep brown body with thin light brown lacing. Aroma is light hop and malt - somewhat faint but nice. Mouthfeel is medium with a wonderful hop prescence for a brown ale. Very sessionable as well.

Malt aroma and black pour with a pepper spice pour and minimal mouthfeel. Easy drinking brew. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Enjoyed on tap at the 3 Floyd’s brewpub in Munster, IN. This was a pretty intense brew, so intense that I really couldn’t finish my imperial pint. Appearance is a dark murky brown with a moderate slightly off-white head. Aroma is pretty hoppy with chocolate and toffee notes. Taste is very pine hop aggressive (as the description states), almost a bit too much for me and at points it was like I was drinking hop resin with a bit of chocolate and caramel. It’s not bad, just too much.
