With the same grim determination and American innovation that President Jack Kennedy showed when propelling us to victory in the space race, we at Three Floyds bring you Space Station Middle Finger. Both bright and citrusy this pale ale deserves to be in orbit.

Bomber from brewpub. Pour to snifter, a rosy-copper body with nice head. Nose of pine, lemons, big floral, some citrus juice, biscuity malt. Flavor showcases a mildly candy-like tropical citrus, citra and amarillo, a flowery finish with a nice palatable bitter linger. Flavors shine more and more as it warms up a bit. Good in a bottle, but miraculous on draft. Familiar flavors, but nicely crafted.

Really good pale ale as expected. Citrus flavors there but the characteristic chalky flavors linger too. Oily resins set in.

Binny’s, chicago bomber: pours golden with a white head. Aroma is citrus and light juicy passionfruit. Taste is juicy and not very bitter. Lightly sweet. Not much of a middle finger. Tame.

A mildly aromatic beer which strangly enough smelled like grass and potato chips. Tasted very nice. A balance of crisp finish and the creamy malt smoothness that 3F is good for. This may not have been a fresh sample, but very nice beer ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft pour. The beer is a clear copper color with a white head of foam. The aroma has citrus and tropical fruits. Medium bitterness and more heavily sweet. Medium body and medium carbonation. Decent.

Pours cloudy orange, foamy white head, good lacing. Aroma is big tropical/citrus: grapefruit, pineapple, mango, apricot, tangerine; solid malty backbone, nice hop notes. Taste is citrus, grapefruit, solid resiny hop spruce; finish has some solid bittering but still clean and drinkable. Very good.

Slightly hazy light copper coloured body with a gold glow and a thick, dense, three centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of tropical fruits, bubble gum, hybrid hops, some light malt, a touch of sugars and a pineapple sweetness. Medium-bodied; Assertive hops right up front that fade almost immediately to a light airy flavour with not much malt support. Some of the bubble gum comes through, but no real complexity and depth in the flavour. Aftertaste is relatively mild with only a touch of hops, tropical fruit and grass showing at all. Overall, this is passable and decent at best. Seriously - take the label off this thing and pass it in front of a 100 real beer drinkers and this would be lucky to be in the middle 33%. I’m glad I sampled this to cross it off my list and make me re-think my beer purchases from greater Indiana in the future, because I’d never buy this overpriced beer again. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from King Richards Wine & Spirit in Michigan City, Indiana (my first time ever in the state) on 09-September-2015 for US$8,99 sampled just four days later on 13-September-2015 at home in Washington.

Hazy golden pour with a frothy, white head. The aroma has fruity citrus and some pine. It has a medium body with slightly oily texture and lively carbonation. The taste is bittersweet with an easy finish.
