With the same grim determination and American innovation that President Jack Kennedy showed when propelling us to victory in the space race, we at Three Floyds bring you Space Station Middle Finger. Both bright and citrusy this pale ale deserves to be in orbit.

Apricot with small white head. Nice and drinkable pale ale, clean and dry with a crisp finish. Good stuff.

From a bottle. Pours hazy bright copper with a bubbly white head. Tastes like sweet caramel, orange, grapefruit, and citrus hops, resin, musky, cereal malt. Light body and low carbonation. Smells musky, like almond, orange, caramel, hops, grapefruit, a little tangy.

Bottle. Pours mostly clear golden amber with creamy white head. Aroma is cereal and biscuit malts, floral hops, light spice, light pineapple, and faint orange peel. Flavor is dry malts, fresh floral and grassy hop bitterness, light citrus esters, and some toast; dry finish. Medium body and carbonation.

Strong and bright with a nice fruity and hoppy aroma. Flavor is mild, crisp, potent but manageable. A session pale ale.

Bottle thanks to drfabulous! Pours clear pale amber with a medium creamy white head that dissipates slowly leaving great lacing. Aroma is floral, grassy, citrus. Flavor is light sweet and light bitter, definite floral citrus notes combined here, a bit of spiciness on the finish. Medium creamy body. Not bad and a bit different, but not blowing my socks off.

Bomber courtesy of my friend Dave W. I love the homage to Jack Kennedy and its particularly appropriate I open this the 50th anniversary of the signing of the Civil Rights act. So far we have come and so far we still have to go. Pours a hazy orange-amber color with a medium sized frothy tan head. Good head retention. Aroma of tropical, herbal hops, caramel malt, white bread, dough, mild dank. The taste is tropical, herbal, pine hops, canned fruit, caramel malt, mild bits of marzipan and something woody or dusty. Medium bodied, moderate lingering bitterness, low carbonation.

Bottle: Vivd amber body with good clarity, a chunky & porous eggshell head foams up nice & settles in a few moments to a thick collar. Aroma of sharp grass, juicy peach, mild passion fruit, some weeds, light dankness, & an almost berry-like fruitiness. Hard to pinpoint. Maybe melon? Different, but pretty nice. Taste is nice a bit dank with some musty grass & weediness, balanced by that nice, albeit hard to discern fruitiness... Again, maybe melon, or some strange berry. Slightest touch of green onion. A little tropical passion fruit & peach with a bit of pine needles, hop oil, & citrus rind in the finish. Small but solid base of crackery pale malts; dry finish, crisp body.

Bomber. Pours a clear, honey-golden, big fluffy slightly off-white head with exceptional retention and lacing. Nose is light grapefruit and slightly fruity -- in fact very under-hopped for a style 3Fs normally hops the shit out of -- white grapes, some light maltiness hiding in the background. Mouth is medium bodied, mildly caramel, citrus bitterness, toasty biscuit, lemongrass, very dry and lingering bitter finish. Very average. In fact, for the price, Id much rather have a 4-pack of Daisy Cutter.

Draft pint at Kumas Corner - Chicago. Pours a golden hue in color with a firm white head that stays in hand for the first few sips. This is unmistakably a Three Floyds APA - has that often present blend of a smooth mouthfeel with medium body, good maltiness on the back end and a full hop flavor with tropical fruit on the nose. Excellent blend of bitterness with the fruitiness of the hops and a slight sweetness to balance. Everything goes right with this beer, and at 6% I feel it would be no stretch to enjoy a 22oz of this one too.

On draught at the brewpub. Hazy orange-gold color with a medium off-white head that diminishes gradually to an outer ring. Partial rings of lacing. Aroma of citrus, hops and malt. Light to medium body with flavors of citrus, hops and caramel malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a fruity hops aftertaste. Pretty good overall.
