With the same grim determination and American innovation that President Jack Kennedy showed when propelling us to victory in the space race, we at Three Floyds bring you Space Station Middle Finger. Both bright and citrusy this pale ale deserves to be in orbit.

22oz bottle drunk 7/23/16.
Big white head slowly fades to cover atop an amber-clear body.
Peach, nectarine and lots of honey-caramel. Begs the question about how much malt you want in your IPA. This one has a fair amount, yet thereís a decent bitterness and good juiciness. I see where theyre going with this, but it just doesent have the bitterness to balance nor is it attenuated enough. Juicy nectarine and peach only gets you so far. Low carb, with a very soft texture.

Bottle, thanks T.J. Aroma is fruity with a blast of caramel malt. Flavor is mostly the same. It does have a soild amount of fruits but the caramel / crystal malt is entirely to much. Body is medium with a syrupy, sticker texture. I think I am spoiled by the Quality amount of local breweries in New England. This brew is sweet and reminds me of an English pale ale.

Bomber. Thanks TJ via DRF. golden orange. looks light. Well, smells like every other APA from FFF. citrus, pine, huge malt-bomb. the flavor isnít too bad. sweet, orange zest. this isnít bad but they just over-due the malts.

Havenít had a Three Floydís in awhile and wonít be going to Chicago this year so Iím grateful for my buddy hooking me up with this from his recent trip. He got it at the brewery and itís less than a month after bottling. Space Station Middle Finger is a 6% Americane Pale Ale thatís a lovely orange gold with a thick head of light beige foam. The hop bouquet is just dripping with juicy fruit notes, citrus/papaya/strawberry, mild pine and an underlying malt syrupy sweetness. Medium bodied, smooth with a dry finish. The taste is lightly bitter earthy pine bark, citrus and sweet malts. Itís got a great balance and goes down smooth. Tasty and dead easy to drink on a sweltering summer day.

Tasted from a bomber. It poured a hazy amber hue with lively carbonation and a frothy light orange head with streaky lacing. Slight aroma of hops and citrus with a taste that offers the same, only much stronger citrus hops with a nice bitter finish.

Bottled 6-1-16. Pours a sunny, light gold with wonderful head. Tart floral nose, candied pastel lemon, maybe just a very fine note of apple, cereal-like malt, a bit oaty. Very floral and candied citrus flavor, much like the nose. Getting a good amount of "pastel" candy lemon & orange (no idea why Iím saying that, but thatís the flavor/texture coming to mind). Sweet for a pale ale. Floyds tend to have their hops on the juicier side. Unique, drinkable, finishes moderately dry with a chalky necco-wafer finish along with floral boquet and citrus peel. Always an enjoyable sipper.

Pours a golden orange colour with a creamier off-white head. Aroma of citrus fruits (oranges, lemons, grapefruit), slight caramel malt. Taste is sweet up front with a slight bitter finish. Lighter body, lively carbonation, and smooth on the palate. Overall a very good pale ale.
