Glass on tap at the brewery. Cloudy pour with ample head. Sweet aroma with some citrus notes. First thing I noticed about the taste was how much it reminded me of pineapple. tasted almost like those canned ringed pineapples you can buy in the store. After getting used to this flavor, I was able to taste some bitterness and malt character. Interesting drink.

Bomber- I wish I had 3 liters. Pours a dark copper color with a large off-white head. A dank resious aroma, citrus. A lovely flavor: tea, oranges, fresh lemons, huge resin, orange peel, light banana esters. Man, this is amazing. Super drinkable and so damn flavorful. Bursting with hops, but balanced in many ways. Lovely, tea-like, and I love a cuppa. So damn mellow, mild bitterness in the tail.

22oz bomber from sheepdog45 shared with JohnGonk. Pours a murky orange color with a thick frothy off white head. Aroma of light Belgian characteristics, caramel malt, skunk, peach, and light pine. Taste of bitter grapefruit and pine, old citrus skins, peaches, and grass. Solid brew!

What a great ale/double IPA specialty beer. Nice tight foam head & strong alcohol taste. Brewed in memory of a 3Floyds employee who must be great full for this impressive brew.

UPDATED: MAR 17, 2014 22 oz bomber poured into a Belgian tulip glass. A fully rounded, bright citrus, peach, and pine hop aromas come through off the start of this one. The citrus notes come through as orange, tangerine, and grapefruit. A prevalent candi sugar makes itself known as the head start to recede. Some light, mellow spice / herbal notes, sweet caramel syrup, and a touch of creamer also come through to round off the aroma. The beer has a clear, honey-orange appearance (a bit of haze comes through near the end of the bottle) topped by a big, rocky and frothy, yellow-orange head which reduced to a messy, but ample, fluffy layer. The taste is a nice balance between medium-high levels of both sweetness and bitterness; neither of which is obnoxious or overwhelming, and they both cut and compliment each other nicely. The medium-full body is loaded with soft, fluffy carbonation, helping the beer to go down creamy and smooth. The mouth is mostly caramel syrup (quite sugary), sweet orange citrus, peach, and bitter grapefruit and lemon citrus. It finishes dry, and somewhat crisp with pine, lemon, and a resin touch. For as rich and full as the mouth was, the finish is relatively clean; it mellows out nicely. The aftertaste has a spiciness to it with pine and toasted grain.
