Ive had this several times and actually had a different opionion each time. This is a bottle from the october release. Black pour minimal head. Aroma is bittersweet malt. Has more traditional english porter malt taste. Had this fresh bottle and tap and there was a lot of coffee and now it pretty much dissapeared.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Sample at Ale Wine & Spirits in Powell on 01/03/2013. Dark reddish-brown pour with a medium khaki head that diminishes steadily. Patchy lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted coffee, malt and chocolate. Medium, dry body with flavors of chocolate malt, coffee and a bit of hops. The finish is roasty with a mocha aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

4.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
he taste holds notes of roasted malts, bitter dark chocolate, yogurt (straight plain, y’all), flowers, pine, light mint, and balsa. Somehow, all of these components combine to form a nice, hoppy-ish Baltic porter. The body is a solid medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a pretty dry finish. Overall, a very nice Baltic porter, one that shows that you can add some hops to the style without completely ruining it.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Very nice Baltic Porter. Smooth; coffee and chocolate notes with a hint of booze. Still haven't had a bad beer by Three Floyds. Like a lot of their beers, the product is great, but doesn't justify the price.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Poured from a 22 oz. bottle into a Three Floyds branded Teku glass.
Although I had this many times on tap, including this past weekend, I decided to review the bottled version. Pours an extremely dark brown, with a one and half finger beige head that slowly dissipates. No lacing. The aroma is dominated some roastiness and very dark chocolate. Dark chocolate and molasses dominate through the mid-palate and finishes dry with some alcohol warmth, roasted malt, and mild espresso-tinged bitterness. Medium bodied and fairly slick and smooth. I have always enjoyed this potent brew and was very happy to see Three Floyds finally bottle it. Not overly complex, but Topless Wytch is a very solid Baltic Porter and the perfect choice for a chilly Autumn or early Winter evening.

Tap at Copenhagen Beer Celebration, Day Two. Pours dark brown with a fine, brown foam head. Dark and dirty malt nose, some earth and light cocoa. Medium to big sweet flavor with modest roast, light licorice, a bit of wood, dark sugars. Medium to full in body with fine carbonation. Mild warmth to finish, pretty sweet, with lots of dark sugars, light chocolate, some burnt wood, mild dark fruits. Pretty big and interesting.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle shared at the Richmond Industry Gathering. It was hell figuring out the name from the label. I love their labels and artwork, but sheesh! Pours a dark brown color with a thin creamy tan head. Good head retention. Aroma of rich chocolate, roasted malts and herbal notes. The taste is roasted malts, chocolate and a hoppy finish. Medium bodied. Nice beer.

22oz bottle via trade. Dark reddish brown with a small, light tan head. Aroma of chocolate, caramel, toast and light roast. Flavor is bitter sweet chocolate, roasted coffee, sweet malt and no alcohol taste. Medium to full body with a smooth mouth feel. Really nice beer, lots of flavor and fairly drinkable.
