Mahogany tinted deep brown/black under a wispy mocha head... promising looks. Slightly grainy aroma with a high intensity of milk chocolate. Full and heavy mouthfeel, lightly sugared, carrying big dark chocolate malts, semi-sweet with an ending of roasted, husky bitterness. ~~~~~~~~~~~ Old notebook, rating reads "@ FSRB Curse Release", sample courtesy of a fine gent who brought some growlers to share.

Bomber from Rayans, with a 3/4/14 bottle date. Pours cola colored with an off-tan head leaving spots of lace. Aroma has chocolate and caramel, with chiles and coffee. Taste is of bakers chocolate, caramel, some roast and lightly spicy chiles. Full bodied and a bit hot. Finishes bittersweet with some length. Tasty, solid brew, with an interesting angle from the chiles. Wonder what some aging would have done.

Bottle thanks to Roger. Pours very dark brown with brown head. Nose/taste of coffee, toasted cocoa nibs, big earthy hops, pine and dirty espresso. Full bodied.

10oz on tap at Neon’s. $7, or $6 during their Happy Hour. Pitch-black color. Good thin light brown head.- Leaves great, thicker lace. Huge big roast malt aroma up front. Awesome, big earthy hop character. Dark chocolate, cocoa nibs, hint of coffee. Smooth, kind of crisp, lighter carbonation. Lightly dry finish. Great chewiness. Moderate to bigger bitter taste. Moderate sweet. Just a very light mildly spicy hoppy bite in the ned, a good long roasty earthy hoppy finish. Hint of smoke. Fantastic, hoppy baltic porter. Very enjoyable. Was tempted to give a way higher score throughout the first part of my pour, but this doesn’t get any better in the second half... A little more sweetness comes out as it warms up, ended up lowering Taste from 8 to 7 by the end. A very enjoyable experience overall, though. A pleasure to get the opportunity to finally try this (Neon’s had been teasing about it for a week). I was wondering if this was a cellared keg or what, but this tastes pretty fresh (quite hoppy)

Bomber shared with SHERM1016....pours dark dark brown with red hue. Thin head. Nose and taste is chocolate / espresso. Appropriate mouth feel for a porter with that ’dirty’ feel that differentiates porters and stout. Very tasty.

22oz bottle shared by dwm1034. Thanks! Pours a deep, dark brown color with a tan head and some lacing. Aroma is roasty, coffee, chocolate. Medium on the palate with lively carbonation. Flavor is bittersweet, coffee, chocolate, a little nutty, a little smokey, with a bitter coffee finish. Very nice.

1 year old and aged nicely. Aroma is Chocolate and Roast. Head is light tan that dissipates rapidly. Taste is sweeter than a year ago and I think better. I get chocolate, malt, caramel, and a tad of smoke. Palate is excellent being slightly viscous. Overall one of my favorites from 3 Floyds.
