Bottle; Pour is cola brown with a fine bubbled khaki head in this glass. It retains fairly well, leading to a ring and some haze over a long period of time. Sticky lacing is present here as well. The nose is light roast, pine, cocoa, a hint of fruit here; The flavor profile is more chocolate, roast, pine, light tropicals, and a hint of caramel. It has a silky mouthfeel, perhaps a little thin - but the abv is remarkable here by my estimation. This is a fine brew that has some expected elements, but straddles styles quite nicely. Mia: "Ham"

On tap at the source... Pours a solid stouty black hue with lesser intake auburn edges at the sides while topped with a creamy light tan head... Piney bright green citrus nose with a fair bit of roasted malt and marshmallow with an adequate balance between both... Flavors again are consistent to the aforementioned with roasted malt, grainy with a piney citrus component to boot. Thinner bodied than expected but a nice flavor profile overall. Don’t love it.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Tap at Churchkey. Pours a muddy to opaque black with larger latte foam. Webby, dense lacing. Nose is interesting- caraway, fennel, rye bread, pumpernickel, heavy rustic grain notes, coffee, anise, pine. Almost Black IPA in nose but just a little off. Taste is similar- very bready, heavy crust, roast, caraway seed, pumpernickel. Palate is a bit harsh, some chemicals and sharper lemon tea.

Dark brown/black with a frothy tan head. Aroma of toasted chocolate, brown sugar, and citrus/tropical hops. Flavor and body is more on the roasty side but with large hop bitterness on the finish. Notes of cream, roasted malts, and, of course, hops. Three Floyds has been making a ton of stouts/imperial stouts lately that taste more like black IPAs, this is one of them.

I think I have a new favorite beer from Three Floyds. Toxic Revolution is an excellent Stout with a beautiful combination of roasted chocolate and Three Floyds signature hoppiness. Extremely drinkable and somewhat light for a stout. Creamy head and deep dark color.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Very interesting stout here. Got lots of complex malt going on, barely present alcohol taste, some bitter flowers, sweetness, and a nice viscosity. Leaves a heavy tan/cream colored lace on the glass. Delicious and blended perfectly.

Bottle from BA eorwar. Big thanks! Black/brown pour with foamy tan head. Charry roasted malt and brown sugar with background pine and faint tropical fruit. Lightly sweet upfront with pillowy roasted malt that gives way to a bright, fruity hop bitterness. Residual moderate roast and tropical fruit/pine bitterness. Lightly dry finish. Mouthfeel has a bit of grit to it. The more you drink, the more you lose the roast aspects. Black IPA all the way. This one has a little more depth of flavors as compared to In the Name of Suffering. I thought it was tasty.
