4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bomber from Rayans shared with ck1. Pours black with a small head. Aroma is a nice grassy chocolate. Huge Alpha Klaus memory from this. Taste is of sweet chococaramel, grassy hops, and a bit of alcohol. Medium to full bodied. Sweet and grassy/grainy. Not real deep, but tasty. A surprise, although Floyds always has such nice stuff - just had no expectations for this. One to have again says ck1. 15 also.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle shared at Ale Alpharetta. Pours black with frothy beige head. Nose was roast, earth and pine. Taste was big chocolate malts, roast, piney hops, coffee. Without knowing what this beer was I assumed it was a slightly faded black ipa as there was still a nice bitterness but the assertive hops had faded slightly. Overall quite nice but perhaps a tad thin (yet creamy) for a stout.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle at cfobes tasting. I think brad brought this one. Coffee and chocolate. With a little roasty and pine. Pretty solid stuff. I know floyds stuff gets a bad rap sometimes but this is worth the hype.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
22oz bottle, purchased at DLD 2013. Pours a deep, dark brown color with a big tan head and some lacing. Aroma is hoppy, piney, lightly roasty. Medium on the palate with big, creamy carbonation. Flavor is sweet, malty, roasty, coffee, nutty, some pine, some grassy hops, with a smooth, bitter coffee finish. Really blurs the line between hoppy stout and black IPA. Very nice.

3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
22 ounce bottle divided by five. I like the label, the best presented of Three Floyd’s recent offerings. Aroma is roasted coffee and a fried, oily soy sauce meatiness. Appearance is dark black-brown, but it’s pretty liquidy and doesn’t have the viscosity found in Three Floyd’s other stouts - appropriate given that this one isn’t imperial. Taste is big on coffee and malted barley, as well as the meaty oil presence that has a salty note. Palate is medium bodied, moderately carbonated. It’s approachable, drinkable, and generally understated in light of who it’s coming from. Overall, it’s a good stout, but have it when you’re tastebuds are fresh because it has some cues that aren’t domineering.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle shared by cptnspeed1...thanks Brad! - Pours black with a thin foamy tan head. Citrusy nose, with light grassy hops, chocolatey with some light malt. Taste is sweet and roasty with an herbal/citrus hop mix. Lots of sweet chocolate and sweet malt. Medium-bodied with a decent amount of carbonation. Really never came together for me.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
22oz bottle shared by Brad, thanks! Pours pitch black with a really thin light brown head, the aroma is pretty straight up hops, this is a really fresh bottle but damn, tons of grapefruit and hops mix in with the chocolate and bread notes, the flavor has a hoppy front end with a solid amount of chocolate in the finish, hoppy and sweet at the same time, damn impressive.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Aroma of heavy roasted malt, biscuit, and some black licorice. Clear dark brown color (like strong coffee). Very dry roasted flavor with some toast and rye notes. Dry finish. Solid brew, but not spectacular.
