COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Imperial Brett IPA fermented with the unique strain of yeast Brettanomyces Lambicus. This yeast creates earthy barnyard notes along with pineapple-cherry pie aromas and flavors. Of course with the "IPA" style itís hopped heavily. Simcoe and Chinook are the culprits for the "Cat peed on the Christmas tree" aroma.

Hazy golden pour with thin white head. Aroma of pineapple, Brett and a little funk. Taste some citrusy hops, pineapple, Brett, quite a drying out finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a golden orange color with a finger and a half white head that dissipates slowly and leaves a blanket of lacing. Good amount of carbonation coming off the glass. Smells of tons of pineapple, definitely get that cherry pie aroma, lots of funkiness, mustiness, some other fruit flavors that I canít decipher (tropical fruits, maybe berries?). Taste starts with some slight sour/funk, as well as pineapple. Very prickly mouthfeel to begin with. Then really smooths out and becomes creamier. The sour/funk continues and starts to incorporate more pineapple, as well as some berry flavors. Getting a tiny bit sweeter as the flavor profile progresses. Besides providing a creamy mouthfeel and the slightest sweetness, the malt is nowhere to be found. All brett and hops, which isnít a a bad thing. Finishes with a pretty balanced dose of brett and hop flavors. Funkiness, mustiness, pineapple, some other tropical fruits, and berries all show through on the finish along with that creamy mouthfeel. High medium body and no alcohol detected on the smell or taste. Although I feel the hops are a little muted on this, this is still a really interesting beer. Pretty successful in my opinion just for the fact that itís different and still very satisfying. By far the best brett-incorporated beer Three Floyds has put out so far.

Great fruity pinneaple smell, very tropical on the aroma coming of a little bit of white head. The smell and the taste are very different. Taste is super funky, barnyard and almost a straight grain taste. Nice beer, very weird and a fun one to try.

Draft on tap at Lions, Tigers, Beers at Northdown Cafe (Chicago, IL). Pours a well hazed golden orange hue, dulled glow, a hazy body overall with frothy offwhite head atop. Films well, sticks around as a firm layer and laces ok. Aromas are explosions of mango, tropical fruit, pineapple, and citrusy hops. Rich dense fruity nose, tropical, some firm bitter florals and grass. Some bready malts, gumball, gentle funk but that firm pineapple bretty element is lush. Lots of fruit. Initial is firm fruit, a medium body with a good lemony and spritzy floral kick. Firm bitterness meets citrus, lots of pineapple, a bit tart with some tropical elements. Bread, dust, and some bretty funk start to kick in the middle, pushing this beer into a more complex area than the nose. Firm brett, tartness, pineapple meets tropical fruit, bready malt and dough. Florals. Firm bitterness and brett mix liberally into the backend, dry and a bit tart, funky and firm bitterness. Melon, pineapple linger in the finish, mixing liberally with funky brett, firm bitter hops, florals, earth. Such a rich nose, fairly complex experience evolves as we move back. A touch harsh or bitter as we move back, but itís got this Belgian bretty vibe with a big dose of richer American and diverse fruity hops. A fun interesting beer. A bit odd. But enjoyable. The brett in this case seems to provide some synergy with the big fruity hops.

On tap at Northdown. Fairly heavy lemon and orange rind with a grapefruit pith finish. Quite earthy and a somewhat harsh finish.

On tap at northdown. Leftovers from Wednesday... Pours a golden hazy apricot orange consistency and topped with a creamy fluffy white head... ... Fragrant nose of florals and juicy citrus with hints of tangerine and dusty earthy Brett. Really nice combination of hops and wildness, touch of yeast in the backend... Flavors are more of the same with a similar focus and emphasis on crisp tangerine and citrus , slightly tart on the backend while finishing with a mild pithy earthiness. More tart and pineapple-like notes surface more after warming. Medium bodied with semi-lively carbonation. Really satisfying and full of flavor. Hoping this is done again.
