Bottle split with Dave on Saturday. Pours a dark cloudy orange. Nice bitterness in the nose. Over medium bitterness, some fruit. Never disapointed in a Three Floyds DIPA.

My Bottom Line:
This Double IPA’s upfront citrusy and tropical fruit nose leads to a second half dominated by wooden plank allusions and alcohol heat.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam covers the hazy pale amber.
-The tropical fruitiness is reminiscent of juicy mangoes and ripe bananas.
-This is not as refined as their Dreadnaught, but it sure packs a flavor punch, which is what most people want in this style, right?
-The soft carbonation feels natural, which helps the mouthfeel greatly.
-The aftertaste develops peppery cedar notes.

Bottle.

bottle form the local cap n cork up the road from my hotel, enjoyed in previously mentioned hotel. I broke many a beer snob fop-as by drinking this out of the hotel room Dixie cup. It appears to be some sort of a amber hued, with a frothy head that has a decent life span. some tropical fruits namely pineapple and oranges. light bitterness with a light body. citrus lingers on the finish.

A nice golden/orange color. Aroma of tropical fruits, hops, some sweetness and floral notes. Taste is a nice balance between tropical fruits and hops. Is smells and tastes similarly to Stone Enjoy By. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle, shared with Rosser and Parksy. Hazy medium gold, lasting white head. Grassy and piney with earthy undertones, resinous with long bitterness. Very good, but not as bright or drinkable as the Permanent Funeral.

Big pine and fruit aroma floats from the orange/brown body. Slight haze and a thin head. Good lacing. Mango, Grapefruit and pine flavors are like an oil in your mouth. Heavy but tasty. Great finish too.

Bottle. Hazy golden pour into an IPA glass. Huge floral notes on the nose with hops, sweetness, and fruit. Big hoppy flavor, a little earthy flavor with grapefruit and a nice bitter finish. Another great one from Floyds Floyds Floyds

Had it on tap at Northdown Taproom. During a Three Floyds Tap takeover. Sincere smooth hop aroma with a mango hop taste. Smooth and heavy.

Pour on tap, hazy dark yellow-orange pour with white head, aroma brought notes of big orange, grapefruit, pine, resin into some bread, slight cracker. Taste was a mix of orange, grapefruit, some tropical fruit, hints of grass, pine into some bread, finishing bitter.

I was thrilled to find this. 22 oz bomber pours a cloudy orange, nice white head faded quickly, not much lacing. Pineapple/grapefruit aroma. Taste is fairly sweet and fruity with some bread. Lively carbonation and a bitter finish. At first I wasn’t too sure about it, but by it grew. Three Floyds beers are rarities for me. Probably won’t see it again. It’s PFG!
