What can I say that I haven't already said about every 3F DIPA. Very rich and hazy golden/copper with a thin ring of head and no lacing. Nose is all citrus. Pineapple, grapefruit, tangerine, and a bit of caramel malt. A decent hop presence. Mouth is very bitter and citrusy up front. The grapefruit is very much there, but there is almost no presence of any sweetness. Leaves a slightly resinous and bitter finish that lingers.

Super hazy golden coloured body with a decent, two centimetre tall tan head and a slight orange glow. Aroma of rich sticky hops with a tropical fruit scent, some good malts and a lot of alcohol and sugars noticeable as well. Full-bodied; Rich malty mouthful with a good tropical fruit and grassy hop flavour that shows well. Aftertaste shows a light apricot and orange flavour with a little sweetness, and some noticeable hops. Overall, nothing that shows up as a great Imperial IPA and a decent one for sure, but nothing more than that. If you peeled this label off and put on an unknown brewery, it would get far less favourable scores. Please don’t go out of your way or spend a ton of money like I did (on both accounts) to get this beer - you’ll be disappointed. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from King Richard Wine & Spirits in Michigan City, Indiana on 09-September-2015 for US$10,99 sampled at home in Washington on 20-September-2015, just eleven days after purchase.

22 oz. bomber. Poured burnt orange with thin white head that dissipated quickly. Big malt, caramel sweetness, complex mix of orange, grapefruit, and resinous pine. Touch boozy. Dry finish. Been a while since my last but seemed like an aged Dreadnaught. Very solid, just not quite my style IIPA.

On tap at fff. Unobtrusive dipa. Cloudy orange. Very drinkable , with hop forward but cuddled in malt finish. Amazing and damgerously drinkable.

Tap, 3 Floyd’s Brewery. Very hazy yellow gold. Intense aroma of pine resin and sweet honey. Massive hops, sweet with more resin. Long finish.

How: Bottle (22 oz) at tasting. Shared by JulienHuxley, thanks!

>>> A good DIPA that is not too sweet but a bit too boozy to be easily drinkable/enjoyable.

+ The malt base isn’t taking too much place and I think a little more hops (or maybe it’s just freshness) could do wonders
+ The tropical fruits and citrusy hops are well supported by a lean caramel presence and a mild spiciness
While I like the fact that the malt base isn’t taking too much place, I think that it might not be strong enough to support the alcohol and therefore feels too boozy for my liking
The beer is nicely hopped, but definitely not on a similar level than FFF hoppy beers that "wowed" me in the past like Zombie Dust and Dreadnaught
No idea about when this was bottled, so freshness might be an issue here

Flavors: Tropical fruits, caramel, citrus, mild spiciness

Bottle 660ml. Pours hazy golden with low white head. Good lacing. Aroma is of citrus, flowers, oranges. Taste is of citrus, flowers, alcohol. Palate: Medium body. Light carbonation. Overall: Quite good, but quite unfortunately seems a couple weeks over the hill.

Bottle shared by JulienHuxley, thanks dude! It pours a hazy golden with a small white head that leaves some lacing. Nose is of fruits, pine and some sweetish cereals. Taste is if oranges, pine, weed and moderately bitter. Some alcohol but nothing bad for an IIPA. Moderate body and carbonation. Pretty good, fairly easy to drink for a IIPA.
