3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
22oz bottle poured into nonic. Hazy golden-orange with floaties and a stiff finger plus of white head that lasts nearly the entire drink. Some streaky lacing. Aroma is citrus hop, grapefruit, bready malt, maybe a hint of caramel. Taste is medium bitterness with citrus and floral notes, spicy rye (some say onion; I donít get that), and light sweetness from that bready/caramel character. Medium bodied, slick, resinous texture, moderate to soft carbonation, bitter drying finish.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
22 oz. Bottle. Nice resiny grapefruit sweetness on the nose. Pours a hazy golden color with a decent off white head with medium lacing. Thereís a nice blend of grapefruit, lemon, pine hops and sweet malts. You also get a well rounded resin flavor. Itís thin, yet creamy with medium carbonation. Solid double IPA.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
Aroma is dominated by red grapefruit and passion fruit with grassy hops. Taste is initially sweet tropical fruits, then grapefruit and light caramel, followed by lastly with pine hops. A very balanced ipa.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle split with Dave on Saturday. Pours a dark cloudy orange. Nice bitterness in the nose. Over medium bitterness, some fruit. Never disapointed in a Three Floyds DIPA.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
My Bottom Line:
This Double IPAís upfront citrusy and tropical fruit nose leads to a second half dominated by wooden plank allusions and alcohol heat.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam covers the hazy pale amber.
-The tropical fruitiness is reminiscent of juicy mangoes and ripe bananas.
-This is not as refined as their Dreadnaught, but it sure packs a flavor punch, which is what most people want in this style, right?
-The soft carbonation feels natural, which helps the mouthfeel greatly.
-The aftertaste develops peppery cedar notes.

bottle form the local cap n cork up the road from my hotel, enjoyed in previously mentioned hotel. I broke many a beer snob fop-as by drinking this out of the hotel room Dixie cup. It appears to be some sort of a amber hued, with a frothy head that has a decent life span. some tropical fruits namely pineapple and oranges. light bitterness with a light body. citrus lingers on the finish.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle, shared with Rosser and Parksy. Hazy medium gold, lasting white head. Grassy and piney with earthy undertones, resinous with long bitterness. Very good, but not as bright or drinkable as the Permanent Funeral.

Big pine and fruit aroma floats from the orange/brown body. Slight haze and a thin head. Good lacing. Mango, Grapefruit and pine flavors are like an oil in your mouth. Heavy but tasty. Great finish too.

Had it on tap at Northdown Taproom. During a Three Floyds Tap takeover. Sincere smooth hop aroma with a mango hop taste. Smooth and heavy.
