Congratulations! Welcome to flavor country. This most recent FFF’s pale ale has just the malt backbone to support an explosive juicy hop profile derived from a new blend of proprietary hops. Cheers.

12-oz. Thanks a million, C! Such a cool box. Pours a slightly hazy dark amber with a loose and sudsy off-white head. Tangy sweet nose, a bit of citrus, a lot of caramel, some cantaloupe or something. Creamy medium body with moderate carb. Caramel, fruit, cantaloupe on the mid palate. Imbalanced toward the sweet. Maybe the hops weren’t fresh, or they let these bottles sit a bit? I dunno. Not quite up to what we expect from these guys regularly.

Bottle at home. I’m 3 into this 6er, so should probably rate it. Clear pale, nice head, good lacing and retention. Aroma is sort of a dank toasty melon-flavored bubblegum. Medium sweetness, light bitterness. Overall: can’t put my finger on what it is, but there’s something weird about this beer (definitely not normal I guess they’d say). I mean, I keep drinking them, but can’t really tell if I enjoy it. Indecision runs deep in me.

Hazy, orange-yellow pour with a white head. The aroma has sweet citrus hops. It has a medium body with smooth texture and average carbonation. The taste is predominantly sweet with a slightly sticky finish.

Aroma is ripe tropical fruits up front, with a sweet peach touch dominating. Taste is crisp, clean caramelly malts with some good juicy hops coming in to help out. Oranges, peaches, some honey and a medium body. Damn near sessionable, very easy to drink.

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, bottled on 4/4/2016. Pours hazy golden orange color with a 2 finger dense and rocky off white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Dense soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, mango, melon, lemon/orange peel, light pine, cracker, biscuit, light honey, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of citrus/tropical hops and moderate bready malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, mango, melon, lemon/orange peel, pine, cracker, biscuit, light honey, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Moderate pine/citrus rind/grassy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, mango, melon, lemon/orange rind, pine, biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/tropical/pine hops and moderate bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance with minimal lingering hop astringency after the finish. Light-moderate dryness from bitterness, that increases through the glass. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately sticky/resinous, and grainy/creamy balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Zero alcohol warming as expected of 5.5%. Overall this is a very nice American pale ale. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/tropical/pine hops and moderate bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

Poured from bottle nice and golden with a small white head. Smells slightly fruity and hoppy. And for some reason, the first taste is that of a livestock barn. I’ve tried and tried and that’s all I taste. What the heck...
