Congratulations! Welcome to flavor country. This most recent FFF’s pale ale has just the malt backbone to support an explosive juicy hop profile derived from a new blend of proprietary hops. Cheers.

A reasonably fresh bottle picked up while passing through South Bend shows that the Floyd Brothers are still on top of their game. If not for the craft beer explosion leaving me with hundreds of other pale ales to chose for a session this would make a perfect fallback. The blend of hops and flavor does not go too overboard yet still leaves you with more than a full stomach.

Aroma / Appearance - The bronze transparent base and rich white head complement each other well. A fresh bitterness opens with a burst of citrus, grassy fields, and the hop forward profile of a typical Three Floyds release.

Flavor / Palate - Citrus and floral hops blossom over the tongue. Airy, fresh, and open, it continues to hold center ring through a malty middle that binds the bright hop aspects together. If this ever fell below $8.99 a six pack for fresh bottles I would likely grab some to give to people just getting into craft beer for the first time.

On the lighter side of the offerings from Three Floyds. A sessionable American Pale Ale. Sweet and smooth. Hops at the finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

6 pack from Andersonville wine and spirits. Clean nose with plenty of balance. Moderate fluffy white head. Hay / sunset orange. Very pretty actually. Tastes very interesting. Getting a lot of orange. In fact, it is kind of difficult to find other flavors. Not as balanced as I expected. Not much carbonation. Mouthfeel is on the light side. All in all, a very nice summer beer. Would drink again.

Bottle from Antioch Liquors....piney nose; frothy head; grapefruit / pine in here; not up to the ’usual’ from FFF but still a good session beer. Tasty.

A hazy apricot color with a finger of off white head that settles to a film and retains well, leaving good lacing. Aroma is sweeter than expected with a definite malt presence along with some mango and pineapple. Some sweet biscuit malt in the taste with juicy tropical hops that are mixed with a light grassiness and a slightly resinous but mild bitterness. More balanced than expected but still focuses on the hops. Finishes semi dry with a lingering hop flavor. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Wouldn’t call this a session ale but it is drinkable with interesting hop flavor.

12 oz bottle. Tasted on 5/121/15. Bottle from West Lakeview Liquor. Drank from a IPA specialty glass. Nice aromatic hood & a flight dank smell. Taste is good with a nice full flavor taste for a session ale. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

2015 bottle. Slightly hazy golden amber with a white head. A nice caramel malt aroma with some citrus zest. Malt is lost in the taste. A floral hop with a bit of chalky solvent taste. Light body with a dry finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

From a 12oz bottle. Pours a light hazy golden color, with a fluffy head. Citrus pop on the aroma. Taste is citrus hops, somewhat watery, not much detection of malts. Easy drinking beer with some good flavorful hops...not much on the malty side. Good summer beer.

Look - Hazy, golden wheat when cold. Medium white head. Lacing sticks. Smell - Faint pine smell. Sweet/sour candy. Taste - Malty. Caramel. Bitter. Feel - Carbonation explodes. Creamy up until and after that. Overall - It is a unique pale ale. I would rather have Alpha King. Others agree as this is readily available in Chicago liquor stores.

Bottle @ THLBBT May. Pours a clear golden beer with a big white head on top. Aroma of strawberry ice cream with a slight bitter funky note. Wow, extreme aroma in a good way. Flavor is very sweet, fruity and again has a big influence of strawberry ice cream. Soft carbonation going on, long fruity sweet aftertaste. Really interesting to say the least.
