Congratulations! Welcome to flavor country. This most recent FFFís pale ale has just the malt backbone to support an explosive juicy hop profile derived from a new blend of proprietary hops. Cheers.

backlog. Keg in Reykjavik. Slightly resinous nose but diacetyl ruins it. Very dry and quaffable but butterscotch on the tongue. Would be nice to sample this at source, this clearly did not travel well

Deep golden hue under a thin foamy ivory head. Huge amazing juicy nose of like some tropical flavored bubblegum, guava and passion fruit and delicious juicy green fruity tones. Smooth and balanced hoppy flavor thatís got some tropical notes, light pine and floral touches, medium low bitterness. Really great.

Draught pint at The Rock in Beloit, WI, September 23rd. Lightly hazy gold-amber, smallish head well retained, fine lacing...hops in the nose are mostly resinous and piney, but with some nice herbal touches (rosemary, fennel); itís quite strong and forward...body is also touched with herbal characteristics, moderately sweet at the front changing to a nicely balanced sweet-dry and spicy tone towards the finish...itís a little bit lighter in the body than I would prefer - perhaps thatís just me, getting used to "heavier" APAs lately, but still it verges on watery at times, though the even level of carbonation very much helps out. Iíve had a few six-packs of this over the past couple of years and while I donít think overall itís as good as Alpha King or Zombie Dust, itís much easier to find than the latter and sometimes cheaper than the former around here. I remember it being a little fuller from the bottle but not so much so as to significantly alter the score.

Bottle into Jack Lambert glass. Smell is intense hop perfume. Labeled as a session ale on the label, but after the first taste I know its simply a IPA masquerading as an APA. Go figger. Unless you like IPA, this is not so yum yum. Nasty nellie rototiller hops across my tongue, quite rude from a lager lovers standpoint. Yes, rude bitter mouth coating IPA, BTW, who put soap in the bottle? Not impressed.
