4.8 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20 kdmcguire10 (3) - Grand Blanc, Michigan, USA - FEB 21, 2012 does not count
Appearance: Persian Gold color. Eggshell white head, 1.5 fingers worth. Lacing is exception; outstanding retention.
Aroma: Blood orange sorbet. Citrus smell just explodes from the glass. Very slight bit of breadiness and not much pine. This is a blood orange, ripe pineapple bomb!
Taste: expertly balanced. The malty sweetness and the hop bitterness are so well balanced here. You really get the fruity, juicy hops. No alcohol. Slightly bitter, crisp finish.
Mouthfeel: Light/Medium body. Just a perfect amount of carbonation.
Overall: Wow. I literally could drink this beer all day, every day. Three Floyd’s never disappoints. This one is just so drinkable. Perfect beer for warm weather. One of the best beers I’ve ever had.

Fresh bottle, 2 weeks from capping.
This beer has an amazing piney, citrus, skunk aroma. It smells like fresh hops.
The mouthfeel is medium and perfect.
The flavor is that of the quintessential pale ale. This beer is the new gold standard. A perfect citric bite mixes with a slightly sweet malt. The beer continues to coat your tongue and the hops literally dance on your tastebuds. The alcohol is invisible and it is dangerously refreshing.
I’m the first to admit that I am a three floyds junkie but this is without a doubt the best beer I have ever had. 10/10

Draft. Easily the best pale ale I’ve had, but I’m not much of a pale ale fan. The aroma is a spectacular beginning to the experience....very much citrus. Pour was golden with a thick frothy head. Hops very much present in the tastes...but not overly. A real quality brew....cannot wait to get my hands on more.

Appearance : Clear amber with medium foamy head. Lots of lacing.
Aroma : Big malt with big citrusy hops. Floral and fresh. Sweetish citrusy notes like in a lemon pie.
Taste : Big citrusy hops with big floral notes. Nice malt again. Finish is very citrusy and fairly lasting. Again that sweetish citrusy feeling. Not very resinous.
Overall : Very nice. A bit linear maybe because there seems to be only citra in there. The finish is mainly citrusy which is tasty but not as rich and deep as most of the top APA. Very drinkable and very well made. I’d drink this often if I could.
