Crushed at the FFF Brewery with Honkeybra. Wow those citra hops are something else. Sweet but balanced and packed with orange and tangerine flavors and aromas. A great name for a beer, and also a ridiculously good pale ale.

UPDATED: SEP 10, 2011 Growler pours hazy pale gold, slightly orange with minimal 1 finger head. Aroma is like heaven! Redolent of all types of citrus, grapefruit, lemon peel, but particularly tangerine and a hint of green apple and honey, this is the best smelling beer I’ve had in weeks. Taste is an utter hop bomb--tangerine, grapefruit and mild caramel dominate the palate. Body is medium with lower than average carbonation, oily on the tounge, and finishes extra dry with a very long lasting tangy/bitter citrus aftertaste. This is basically a perfect beer, I expect no less from 3F.

On line at BA speedway release. Shared from a growler. Apples and light malt on the nose. Big light sweetness in the mouth. Great beer for 7:15 am. Light citrus and cinnamin hints. Very nice.

A great pale ale. Crisp with light citrus that compliments the hops perfectly. Hoppy and sweet without a think syrupy mouth feel. One of my all-time favorite IPA and definitely one of the most balanced.

Rich orange pour and substantial white head. The nose is strongly reminiscent of the cat box...weirdly good. Flavors are likewise catty, citrusy, earthy...all hop-forward. But there is a nice bready malt pale roastiness underneath it all. Very tasty summery APA.

aroma is citrus, floral, and hoppy. Straw color clear and one finger head. High hop content, low malts, no citrus taste, nothing special. Palate is clean and crisp. Okay, but would not drink again. A typical 3F brew.

On tap at DLD. Pours a hazy/cloudy amber but close to orange hue with a two-finger wide off-white head. Aroma is of grass, pine needles, caramel, mangos, apricots. Flavor is not as complex but soft on the tongue with notes of sweet caramel, citrus, and just a touch of pine needles. Medium bodied and very smooth, great carbonation levels.

aroma is fresh mown grass, lemon then sharper lime. appearance is clouded straw, messy head with large pockets and disappearing legs. flavor is fresh hay, bitter foliage, twist of lime late. mouthfeel dries early, immediately even and right up front.

A: The beer pours a hazed golden orange color with a huge off-white/khaki head and nice sticky lacing. S: Great hop nose to this beer. Big pine and citrus peel. Tons of grapefruit with a little bit of bready malts and a hint of toast and caramel. Mildly grassy on the back end. T: Mildly sweet malts of bread and toffee. Big citrus peel, pine, and grass hop flavor. A moderate level of bitterness to it and a hint of fruitiness. Nice solid flavors to the beer. M: Medium in body with a medium level of carbonation. O: Really easy to drink and a great flavor and aroma.

UPDATED: APR 30, 2012 On draft at DLD ’12 as well as several bottles at home.
An amazing pale ale / ipa with a sick amount of juicy citra flavor. Extremely easy to drink with a lighter body, huge aroma, and big flavor. You really can’t ask for much more for the style.
