This is luscious, citra hops give it that citrus orange like lemony punch along with a citrusy orange aroma. Body has a nice dry aftertaste which lingers with almost an earthy tone. Its hard to believe this is single hopped! Bitterness is here but flavor hops are more dominant.

Draft at Hopleaf. Served in a shaker pint. Pours a deep golden color with a white head that quickly dissipates. Aromas of grapefruit and hints of grass. Full bodied, sticky mouthfeel. Upfront flavor of grapefruit and some bitterness on the finish, but not one that overwhelmingly lingers. Thereís a malt presence here that prevents such a hoppy beer from lacking complexity. An outstanding IPAóone of my favorites.

My favorite beer. Obsessed. Hard to find even here in Chicago. They donít always sell it at the brewery itself. A dank taste I canít find anywhere else. Iíll drink it all night long.

Draught in a flight. Pours a clear light amber color with a thick white head. Nose has some reasonably hoppy elements, but not overly so. Taste is just a bit bitter. Smooth drink. Good brew.

Bottle was a bonus from Stfun.. Thanks man.. Nice amber pour with moderate lacing with a tropical nose. The taste was light citrus, with lots of lemon, apricot, and grapefruit, some tropical notes, lots of hop flavor, but a very silky mouthfeel and a very dry, pleasant ending with only a trace of bitterness. Overall a really nice IPA.

On tap at Burnhearts. Amber with a creamy off0white head and plenty of lace. Aroma is a bit dank with pale malts, bready notes, pine and floral hops. Taste is dank and earthy with citrus, resinous hops, malt and some floral notes. Bitterness to the point of abrasion. Okay but seriously over-rated.

UPDATED: JUN 10, 2013 #400 - I’ve been waiting for this for some time. I love the label art. Bottles from jbickus. Pours into my tulip with a huge head and a hoppy aroma. The hops are citrusy with a hint of pine. Pours a pale orange color. Unlike any American pale ale I have had (but close to Alpha King). Tons of lacing. Awesome balance. Such a treat to enjoy. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft at Yellow Brick Pizza in Columbus OH. Incredible beer! Shows that you donít have to be 10% alcohol and crazy hopped to be a great beer, balance is great, and this beer is delicious. The hop flavor of this beer is so good. Iíll drink this beer anytime I see it.

22 oz bottle served in a stem glass at a tasting at Danís. Pours clear golden with a small, off-white head that fades to a thin cover and leaves a minimal amount of lace. On the nose is a huge amount of grapefruit peel that literally wafts across the room; this is paired up with pine, flowers, caramel and bready malts. The flavour is medium sweet caramel malts with bready notes balanced with resinous citric hops. A hoppy bitterness grows towards the finish, which is long and lingering resinious hops. On the palate, it is light-medium in body with a dryish texture and soft carbonation. Overall, this is a very nice pale ale; it is quite bitter but not overpowering. It would make for an amazing summer barbecue beer. 2012-08-11
