4.7 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 20/20
An ultra tropical aroma with fresh yellow grapefruit dominating the nostrils. Very yellow with a golden head. The flavor is more astrigent than expected, with plenty of CO2, but as crisply hoppy as a balanced beer can get. Easy drinking with very present hops. An easy win, but I did find it to ’pale’ in comparison to gumballhead... and to anyone who says they favor this over two hearted, just don’t whack anybody while you’re waving your three handed flag. This beer really, really rocks... but I do think it’s pretty hyped. I’ll blind taste it when I get the chance and check back in.

Thanks to John for the bottle! Hop aroma is hard to discern in the bottle. Hop flavor is full of mango. A very well rounded beer. Bitterness is just right.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
12er from the brewery. Nice gold pour with a medium sized white head. Pretty bright aroma, lots of tropical fruit, some pine, a bit of lemon zest, some kiwi and a touch of caramel. Flavor follows, a bit more subdued than the aroma suggest. Bitter finish distracts from this one a bit, slightly dirty, great carbonation, light mouthfeel, a touch more sweetness than I prefer in a pale. Great beer, would love to have it on draft at some point.
