Thanks to Jason for sharing this bottle! Pours a slightly hazy dull gold color. Small off white head that goes to thin topping with a larger ring. Smell is pineapple, tropical fruit - it smells pretty inviting. Taste is more subtle then nose, nice tropical, finishes very dry with a very mild hop bite. Light + body, nice carbonation level - pretty smooth. Overall a delightful pale ale.

This beer is as awesome as you’ve heard. Being in Chicago, I am able to keep a small supply , and I regularly give people their first taste-- I have yet to have anyone say it’s anything less than incredibly tasty. Doesn’t matter if they’re into hoppy beers or not, which is how I see it as well-- I don’t view this as a particularly "hoppy" beer, although it does use some unique hop flavors as centerpiece. My favorite thing about it, and many others have said the same thing, is the carbonation. Absolutely amazing tiny, champagney bubbles that are still somehow as delicate as some of the flavors. Awesome, awesome beer.

UPDATED: SEP 2, 2012 Pours a hazy golden orange with a two finger head, nice lacing, good looking beer. Aroma of citra hops, citrus fruits especially grapefruit. Taste follows nose malts present to back up hop bitterness but still allow the hops to shine. Smooth and easy to drink with little alcohol presence.

Three Floyd’s best beer to date. I would recommend it to anyone who likes a pale ale with a strong flavor of hops.

On keg @ Mikkeller Bar during CBC week. The pour’s deep hazy orange with a tiny eggshell white head. The nose is light mango, sea grass, pineapple, solero ice cream, cut grass and flowers. The taste is lightly salty sea grass and lightly caramelized pineapple. There’s nice, buoyant fruity malts with a light, grassy hop finish. The mouthfeel is prickly carbonation, but smooth and easy to drink, slick. Overall, a pretty excellent pale ale. I would drink this often if it was available!

12 oz. bottles. Pours a clear light copper color, with a nice fluffy, medium sized white head. Aroma is strong on the citrus, wit just a touch of resin and a mild sweet malt biscuit note. Flavor has notes of bitterness, citrus hops. Very session-able. One of my favorites.

Bottle @ Mikkeller Bar. Pours clear golden with a small creamy white head that slowly dissipates leaving lots of trace on the glass. Smell is sweet and hoppy with caramel, mango, pineapple, passionfruit, hay, gunpowder, orange peal, lemon zest and dusty dry soil. Taste is sweet and bitter with white bread, pineapple, mango, passionfruit, lemon zest, caramel and resinous wood. Mouthfeel is smooth, balanced and light to medium bodied. Finish is sweet and bitter with pine, lemon zest, pineapple, passionfruit and caramel. Extremely drinkable. Could have this all day every day.

Draught at Mikkeller Bar. Always wanted to try a 3F brew and now’s my chance! Vibrant orange with almost zero head. My nose has been taken to Club Tropicana. Yep, tropical fruits with plenty of orange and tangerine zest. Great stuff. Much more body than I expected and feels nicely balanced on the tongue. Excellent.
