Bottle(fresh): pours a medium golden color with a nice white head. Smells of pine and citrus that is also in taste, along with hints of grapefruit and pineapple--love the citra hops! Great hop forward taste but not overly bitter with a nice light, bready body and mouth feel. Very nice balance and very smooth. Easily one of my favorite pale ales!

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: AUG 11, 2013 Looks good, not much head, good lacing. Grapefruit aroma, a bit hop forward, smooth finish. For me it doesn’t quite live up to the hype, still a solid pale ale...

This is obviously a great beer, but to call this a Pale Ale is a misnomer; this is easily an IPA. Creamy, hoppy, delicious. An almost DIPA richness. Great dry hop aroma.

Probably my favorite pale ale. Pours a clear orange yellow with a thin white head. Mellow aroma of pine and grapefruit and sweetness. Taste is awesome, mellow citrus notes with a medium body. This is an all day drinker for me. Great stuff.

Have I ever said "balance is key"? Enjoying at Smallbar in Chi, and in this moment officially miss the Midwest. Citra hopped goodness. Grapefruit, sweet finish. Not overdone - not a hop bomb - just about perfect. Wow...

A delicious APA that actually stands out from the tons of others out there. Aroma was delicious. From the moment the cap popped off, there was grassy and earthy hop aromas in the air. Pour was a nice cloudy light gold with a two finger pillowy head. Taste was nice and hoppy. The grass and earthy notes were front and center with just a hint of citrus. Quick wet finish with mild carbonation. Courtesy my Secret Santa. Thanks man!

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Not a contender for the best beer ever, but certainly a very good beer, from its bright golden start, through to the sweet citrus (loving Citra as the hops), and a good, reasonably well balanced finish. No complaints. Tap at The Publican, Chicago.

4.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Fresh bottle from trade with FullObs. Pours a hazy gold color with a small frothy head that fades normally and leaves nice lacing. Fresh hoppy aroma of tropical fruit, citrus, and flowers. Awesome taste, wow! Everything is how I like it in an APA or IPA. Slight sweetness up front with a moderate bitterness later. Super fresh tropical, citrus and floral hop taste. Finish is so smooth with a long lingering citrus flavor. Medium body, perfect soft carbonation and just the right amount of oiliness in the mouthfeel. Overall, I actually thought this beer wasn’t going to live up to the hype for me like Pliny but I was wrong. All the little things are perfect in this beer like the appearance, carbonation, mouthfeel, and finish. And it helps that it’s a showcase for my favorite hop.
