Bottled on: ?? (No bottle dating WTF)
Graciously given to me by Rochefort10nh, thanks man..
The appearance shows a nearly clear deep golden color with a frothy white head. Loads of lacing cling to the glass and tight rows of bubbles flow freely to the top.
Aroma is wonderful and full of citra hops followed by caramel malt and faint biscuit. Smells like a tropical buffett.
The taste is full of pineapple, grapefruit, lemon peel and a hint of caramel. Full of citra flavor but balanced nicely with sweetness. Very tastey, I could drink this all day.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied with a soft carbonation feel. Starts out smooth and creamy but in the end the true feel of bitter/dryness takes charge and begins it’s assault on the tastebuds.
Overall an excellant example of the style and one I’m happy to review. My first experience with this beer was with Heady topper and Abner so my tastebuds were fried and didn’t give it a fair shake. If you like citra hops, than this ones for you. Definitely one of my favorite APA’s to date. Nice job!

Acquired in a via Hombrepalo, cheers!
Pour is hazy, somewhere between amber and golden. Good carbonation, but the head goes away pretty fast.
Smell is hoppy, good citrus flavors. Maybe a bit bready.
Taste is almost limey, good hop presence but not overpowering in the least bit. Great balance. Bit of bread.
Crisp, dry finish. Smooth and refreshing. Almost a bit smokey. Lingering aftertaste is great.
Very well done, and I’m very glad I got to try this.

UPDATED: JAN 12, 2013 Bottle to pint. Looks good; pretty transparent for a FFF. A good amount of head and quite a bit of carbonation. Smells great; hops on hops on hops. Tastes good too (although it’s more like an IPA than a PA). Great on the palate. Overall, one of the best in its class.

4.8 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
Appearance: Persian Gold color. Eggshell white head, 1.5 fingers worth. Lacing is exception; outstanding retention.
Aroma: Blood orange sorbet. Citrus smell just explodes from the glass. Very slight bit of breadiness and not much pine. This is a blood orange, ripe pineapple bomb!
Taste: expertly balanced. The malty sweetness and the hop bitterness are so well balanced here. You really get the fruity, juicy hops. No alcohol. Slightly bitter, crisp finish.
Mouthfeel: Light/Medium body. Just a perfect amount of carbonation.
Overall: Wow. I literally could drink this beer all day, every day. Three Floyd’s never disappoints. This one is just so drinkable. Perfect beer for warm weather. One of the best beers I’ve ever had.

UPDATED: OCT 11, 2012 Fresh bottle, 2 weeks from capping.
This beer has an amazing piney, citrus, skunk aroma. It smells like fresh hops.
The mouthfeel is medium and perfect.
The flavor is that of the quintessential pale ale. This beer is the new gold standard. A perfect citric bite mixes with a slightly sweet malt. The beer continues to coat your tongue and the hops literally dance on your tastebuds. The alcohol is invisible and it is dangerously refreshing.
I’m the first to admit that I am a three floyds junkie but this is without a doubt the best beer I have ever had. 10/10

Draft. Easily the best pale ale I’ve had, but I’m not much of a pale ale fan. The aroma is a spectacular beginning to the experience....very much citrus. Pour was golden with a thick frothy head. Hops very much present in the tastes...but not overly. A real quality brew....cannot wait to get my hands on more.
