At long last! Finally, I’ve had the legendary Zombie Dust. Appearance: Pours a typical APA color -- light orange. There’s a slight haze, and a nice, creamy-like head on it. Lacing’s patchy and not all that great, but it looks nice as a whole. Smell: Think Hopslam. It smells a lot like that. Zombie Dust is tied with Hopslam as the best beer that I have ever smelled ... absolutely outstanding. A huge burst of guava/peach/citrus along with some sweet hoppiness. Glorious. Taste/feel: Slightly letdown, though it’s still an insanely tasty beer. The aroma is stronger than the taste, but that’s not necessarily a terrible thing. Like many have said, this drinks more like an IPA than an APA... super tropical fruit flavors along with non-deScript fruit and spice on this one. The aftertaste is slightly bitter, and the alcohol comes through a bit at times as well to dry the mouth, but me gusta. A proper amount of malt and spice on the finish to balance it all out pretty nicely. A great, GREAT beer, but a tinge overrated in my opinion, and I wouldn’t consider this a very sessionable beer (besides the 6.40%) due to the dryness. For the price, an unbelievable beer, and one of the best... $1.50 a bottle, fresh from the brewery? Doesn’t get better than that. Overall though, just an extremely good beer. Best beer ever? No, but close to it. Honestly, I feel like this would score slightly lower on a blind taste test. I think a good reason this beer is so acclaimed is because of its label, and especially, its name... America’s become obsessed with zombies the past few years.

bottle from Mikkeller & Friends, Copenhagen. Pours an amber/golden colour with a small white head. Fresh and fruity citrus, pine and malty flavour and aroma, grapefruit very prominent here, has a lovely palate/mouthfeel - very easy drinking for the abv. Beautiful drop this.

Bottle split with Taylor from Mexican Food Factory. Many thanks! Aroma was apricot, grapefruit, and mango. Pours a hazy shade of orange with a great visible carbonation. Taste was full and fruity with grapefruit, peaches and a slight bitter grass. Mouthful was juicy and satisfying with a pretty clean finish. Very well crafted. Would love to have a fresher glass than the one I had.

Bottle. Taste is Florida grapefruit infused with booze, orange zest, grass and hay. Complex and excellent.

Pours slightly hazy orange with a large white head. Smells of citrus with piney undertones and a hint of grass and spruce. Taste is big citrus notes, sweet oranges and hints of tangerines with hints of caramel that emerge after a moment. Medium-bodied with a wet texture and soft mouth-carbonation, Three Floyds Zombie Dust finishes almost clean with a hint of sweetness.

Deep gold/light copper, clear, off-white head. Aroma of big orange-tangerine citrusy hops with just enough underlying malt to support the big hop aroma. Flavor features dry, crackerlike malt with just a touch of caramel, big citrusy hop flavor followed by a little herbal spicy hop note as well. Finishes with a clean zing. Very drinkable.

Let there be little doubt...the aroma alone will make your mouth water. I’m a bit spoiled living close to 3 Floyds and having access to the Dust regularly. This is nothing short of amazing. The taste is hoppy and has lots of citrus on the front end. Medium head and pours burnt orange. I love this beer. 12 oz of gold.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a HF taster. Pours a nice opaque orange with a one finger white head. Good lacing as it goes down. Smells of grapefruit, mango... Great floral scents. Taste is again with the grapefruit and slight bitter citrus. Great body and nice dry finish.

Boom citra bitchslap on the nose. Love it large! Pours with a foamy fine head that turns into a white line quickly. The hops are a bit underwhelming in the body and finish. I like it a lot, I don't love it.

12oz. Bottle. Pours a beautiful hazy, golden color with a half finger of head that dissipates quickly. Decent amount of carbonation. Aroma is INCREDIBLE. Very hoppy and citrusy. Grapefruit, pineapple, orange and much more I’m sure. A slight floral/piney aroma is present. Taste is rediculous. Hoppy, citrusy floral. The same hints of grapefruit, pineapple and orange are prevalent. A perfect balance between hops and fruit with a lasting pine like flavor. Absolutely, hands down, the best pale ale on the market. I may regret this later on, but this one is getting a 5.
