4.2 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours hazy orange into my tulip with a nice big frothy head. The smell is amazing, as expected. Floral citrus hops that waft up at you like candy. Piney grapefruit flavor, hits right on. Not as bitter as I had expected. Less carbonation than I was hoping for, and the finish comes off slightly syrupy. I guess I was expecting all hops. Strong malt profile here. That's a nitpick though, as the taste is all there and I love the citra hop aroma. All in all, a great pale ale. But given the (unfair) excitement over this one, it is a disappointment without a 5 rating. Very yummy stuff.

pale, hazy, light sweetness, very bitter, medium body, bitter. By far the best APA I have ever had, and quite possibly my favorite beer.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
UPDATED: MAY 1, 2015 Have had this on tap a few times now since my original rating. People go crazy over this stuff here in Columbus and itís good, but not "wait in a huge line and pay a premium for a pint/bottle" good. If it were six pack cans for < $10 it would be in my rotation. All relative I guess. ORIGINAL RATING 12/31/2012: 12oz bottle from Andersons in Sylvania. Yellow-gold pour with a huge frothy white head and lots of stick. Aroma is grassy, ganja and citrus. Tastes are caramel, orange zest, other tropical fruit, pine. Perfectly balanced. I have 2 bottles of this, but could go for a case.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a large sized head of foamy finely sized white colored bubbles that were long lasting and left behind a typically carbonated transparent yellow orange colored body. The mild aroma was Cascade hops. The mouth feel was weakly tingly at the start mediumly tingly at the finish. The flavor contained notes of mild hops and malt. A decent one that I would consider drinking again.

Golden body and white stable frothy head. Super rich, fresh hop aroma. Grass, citrus fruits, amazing. Hope juice, smooth yet apparent bitterness. Drinks way to nicely. Brilliantly executed. I could drink this all the time (bit am certain I wonít ever have that opportunity). (33cl bottle from Chris, thanks!)

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
12 ounce bottle, this just came to the store yesterday afternoon so Iím hoping itís a fresh batch. Served in a pint glass, the beer pours a slightly hazy golden/orange color with about an inch frothy off-white head that stays around for a very long time. Thereís also a lot of lacing. Aroma is nice and hoppy, it smells mostly like citrusy hops (grapefruit, mango, tropical fruits), along with pine hops, orange peel, and some light bready malt. Taste is similar to the aroma, but thereís also some floral/earthy hops noticeable, and a nice lingering bittersweet finish. Mouthfeel/body is medium, itís a bit sticky, but also very smooth with moderate carbonation. I think this is a pretty good brew, I know Iíd buy this again if I came across it. $10.99 a six pack and worth every penny!

Pours golden orange with sudsy white head. Aroma is all citra dry hop overwhelming. Taste is again pure citra hops, sweet with the perfect amount of bitter in the finish. Crisp and clean, smooth. An almost perfect ipa.

Wow! Pours golden brown with white head and great lacing. A shot of citrus hops on the nose. Taste is outstanding. Tones of hops that builds in intensity on the tongue to a point where it even numbs my tastebuds. More like an IPA, but Iím not complaining.
