12oz bottle fresh from brewery poured into a mason jar. Nice two finger, white head and golden, amber straw color. Smell is mouth watering hops including notes of tropical fruit, grass & sweet pine. Taste is similar with a little malt and nice body thatís well carbonated. Flavorful, long lasting hops on the palate long after swallowing. I wouldnít mention it in most reviews, but the beer has great lacing too. Highly drinkable & one of my favorite Three Floyds beers.

12oz bottle. Got this from a regular, pours out a nice amber hue, decent carbonation and white head. Aromas are vibrant, and not just because I havenít been drinking ipaís or pales for a bit, but this really ripped citrus zest. Palate is fantastically balanced beautiful lemon pine up front with a nice dry finish. Amazing offering.

This is an IPA disguised as a pale ale! Bright citrus aroma, very aromatic hops. Clear amber pour with thin head and excellent lacing. Strong citrus hop flavor, with a decent malt profile. Medium bodied with a lasting finish. An excellent beer! Do these guys make a bad beer?

Pours a transcendent orange with a tiny white head that leaves some nice lacing. It puts off an awesome hop aroma and the taste follows suit. An enormous hop flavor up front that slowly fades into a nice crisp finish. One of the most interesting and complex pales Iíve ever tried and it took me forever to get my hands on a 3 Floydís product. Iím certainly not disappointed! Outstanding!

Yeah. Itís good if you can get it. This is one of those beers, like Gumball Head, that you could just pour into a glass and carry around smelling for a while before actually drinking. The Citra hops are wonderful, but fellow-brewing friends of mine believe theyíre also using Amarillo in this. Perhaps the Citra shares some of the same qualities, but with the shortage on Citra hops, itís amazing that 3F can still put this out. Only have seen this available at the brewery. Golden-orangeish pale ale with a clean bitterness and a nice malt backbone.

Bottle courtesy of toffsbury - thanks a million! Pours a bright nearly-clear amber with a thin head. Aroma is a blast of citra hops - all that tropical fruit goodness. Taste is extremely well-balanced, some sweet caramelly malt up front, immediately followed by a citra explosion of tropical and citrus fruits, and a little pine. Bitterness creeps up but never gets overpowering. Great medium-full body, with perfect carbonation. Top-of-the-line pale ale. Wow, this is fantastic stuff!

12oz bottle thanks to kmyers8807: Pours a clear bright golden with a clingy-lacing froth of white head. Has a bountiful fresh resinous citric hoppy nose with a touch of pale malty sweetness. Starts with good fullness and a clean malt profile dripping with citrusy hop flavor and a crisp bitter balance before a drier bittersweet finish. Very smooth and enjoyable.

Bottle brought from Michigan by my brother. Pours clear gold with a medium off-white head. Piney and sort of oniony hop nose with a bit of malt and citrus. Malty flavor with citrusy and piney hops before an oniony finish.

Three Floyds has never disappointed, and this exceptional American Pale Ale is no exception. Ap: Pours a golden-orange, not quite clear but not quite hazy either. Sizeable head. Ar: Wonderfully potent. Plenty of citrus (grapefruit, orange, lemon) with resin and pine hops as well. T: Deliciously sweet, even tropical tasting (pineapple)? Some sweet malts (a hint of caramel) to balance the powerful citrus and floral hops. M: Average body and carbonation.
