Huge thanks to mikem409 for this. Man what a smell. It filled the area with itís pine and citrus. Taste is very hoppy with tones of citrus and oine flavor. Nice color with a thick white head. There is a simular pine taste that most FFF have in their beers. But this is really nice beer. Awesome on a summer evening

12 oz bottle courtesy of MC. Pours a slightly cloudy honey gold with a medium sized white head. Aroma of citra hops, light honey, mild citrus and grassy notes. Taste is much the same as the aroma.

4.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 20/20
Good looking beer, plenty of big white head ad good lacing tops a somewhat hazy, light brown beer.
Smell and taste are intense, and amazing! This is perhaps the best pale ale Iíve had. Intense grapefruit and earthy pine on the smell. Taste is a bold, crisp, deliciously piney and citrus hopped blast of flavor, with fruity notes. The malts offer body but mostly Iím tasting hops.
Given that this is a citra showcase beer, it makes me want to brew an all citra pale ale soon!
The body is light yet almost tingly with hops and fruity aftertastes.
Overall this beer rocks and Iím leaving it on my wants list!

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle at home. Poured a hazy golden orange with a two finger off-white head and great lacing. Smell is big pine, citrus, grapefruit, grass, and light caramel. Taste is big pine, grapefruit, pineapple, tropical fruits, with a light caramel backbone that leaves it tasting very well-balanced. Nice mouthfeel with high carbonation. A very well crafted APA, with a nice bitter finish. Has to be the best pale ale I have ever tasted. How is this not an IPA?

4.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
Just delicious and so nicely hopped with a good balance on the malt end. Definitely get the hops but not a serious mouth pucker like some of their other IPAís. This is more session-able, so to speak.

4.9 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
5/8/12- Pours a golden orange with a thin bright head that laces well. Aromas include grapefruit, mango, and sweet malt. Starts light and creamy with a touch of carbonation followed by smooth sweet biscuit malt that coats the tongue. Leaves behind mango and bitter citrus as it departs slowly. A fantastic APA that lives up to the hype.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Sample at the Central OH BA Tasting at From The Vine on 06/02/2012: Pours a clear bright orange-gold color with a medium white head that dissipates steadily. Stringy lacing on the glass. Aroma of floral hops, citrus and malt. Light to medium body with a crisp and zesty hops character that has floral and citrus notes, as well as some sweet malt. The finish is fruity with a lingering fresh hops aftertaste. Solid Pale Ale all around.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
I love growlers and side by sides and this was an awesome thing to do, served out of a growler side by side with Citra IPA from Hillfarmstead. Citra FIGHT!
Beer is hazy and dark yellow with a nice head of medium and large bubbles that leaves some lacing on the glass. Carbonation is moderate to low.
Aroma is a little weaker than I had hoped but I can totally smell the tropical fruit bomb that awaits me.
Beer is relatively light in body with a very mild sweetness lead off and an explosion of hop character in the midpalate. The finish of the beer is mildly bitter but it is a wonderfully rounded beer with so much hop flavor. Itís lighter than I expected and not quite as bitter but I suppose this is an APA and not an IPA, I would have more of this anytime.

4.9 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Bottle purchased at the source. Iíve tried this a fare amount of times now. Picked up a case to take home from Dark Lord Day. Pours a hazy orange/ copper colour, with a fluffy white head. Lacing is spiderweb like. Aroma is absolutely amazing, mango, piles of citrus hops. Tastes is a complete balance between bitter and sweet. Obviously hops. True perfection in beer form. The best.
