UPDATED: AUG 8, 2014 Pours cloudy amber with a white head. Aroma is screaming westcoast with some fresh hop forward citra hops along with tropical notes like pineapple, mango, orange, citrus, peach, also some pine and just a tiny hint of sweeter malts. Very clean, almost white winish. Taste of raw citra hops with all those tropical notes from the aroma along with some resin, pine, westcoasty awesomeness, a tiny grassy note and very bitter/raw. Just clean and awesome IPA ! A session of only this would be dangerous!

Bottle. Sweet aroma with notes of tropical fruits and caramel cookies. Notes of lychee, melon caramel and pine needles in taste. Grape in the aftertaste. Big and complex without being too bitter.

Draft. Deep gold body with orange highlights, slightly hazy. Frothy, off-white head. Big citrus aroma with notes of grapefruit, peach, pineapple, toasted grain, leafy hops. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. It finishes lightly sweet and moderately bitter bordering on heavily bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Chewy raw hop flavors are nicely balanced with bright citrus. Crisp and juicy with long, lingering bitterness.

ON TAP. Pours a medium golden orange, slight head, aroma is hops and ripened fruit. Taste is citrus, with a nice spice note, maybe coriander. This is a very good APA!

(20 cl on tap @ Mikkeller Bar) Pours clear golden with medium, white head. Good retention and rich lacing. Aroma of peach and tropical fruits. Medium bodied, oily texture with medium carbonation and a sweet and bitter finish. Very well balanced - almost no harshness from the bitterness in the finish - just enough to balance out the initial fruity sweetness. Very clean and refreshing taste. Extremely addictive, fruity hop juice.

Bottle at Mikkeller Bar. Golden beer with an off-white head. Pineapple aroma, apples, grapes, peach, hoppy metallic notes, milky, hay, perfume notes, some pear. Hoppy flavor, milky, pineapples, grass, hay, metal notes, grapes, milky, some spicy notes. Long bitter finish with pleasant notes of pineapple and peach. Wonderful beer, I can understand the hype...

Numerous bottles and first served in my GI IPA tulip: Pours a deep honey amber with a slight nod to some coppery highlights, frothy head and good lace. The aroma has notes of lemon, tangerine, dank, resin, biscuit, caramel, and slight flowery yeast esters. The taste is nicely fruity and moderately hopped with a more pronounced malt character than I was expecting. There is a catty and leafy quality that I do not care much for. The mouth feel is sprite and aggressive but the dirty and slight metallic finish knocked the score down, I wanted this beer to finish cleaner and more refreshing. I warned people that do not want to see my rating of this beer... it is a bad beer, heck no but is it all that, heck no. After a few bottles I think my opinion for now has been cemented.

Golden color, medium sized head. The aroma is not explosive, but it’s nice, citrusy and harmonious. The mouthfeel is quite dry, not weak; good flavor of malt with a cereals accent; strong bitterness, some hop resins and fruitiness; again, good but not explosive; and crispy malts would be preferred than cereal-malts.
Very good. Too expensive.

2012-05-10, draught at Mikkeller Bar, Copenhagen, 8-4-8-4-16=40
Hazy golden to light amber color. Strong hop aroma, initially fruity, then resiny, finally showing some manure; later it has a very strong cheesy character (soft french cheese); overall not the top of elegance.
Malt and caramel flavor are very clean, therefore the drinkability is higher; very strong hopping, resiny before fruity; the final is bitter almost abrasive, strong but unbalanced, not allowing to the fruity or delicate notes of the hop to appear.
Bomb, very good, but a bit less than expected.
Sold at 40Kr (7$) for 20cl, this is a dishonest deal.
