4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle as an extra from pantanap! Pours with a hazed orange hued body with a white head that lasts and leaves very nice lacing. Aromas are huge, dank, stinky, tropical fruits. Guava and mango. Hops have a slight tropical sweetness to them. Straight lilikoi as if you were in Hawaii. Somewhat strong grainy malt note. Tea and some medium to light esters. Flavors are medium bitter with an overall slightly bitter balance. Malt is dry and grainy. Hops are all tropical fruit that even lend a slightly sweet fruit impression. Finishes clean and lightly grassy. Medium bubbles and very dry and light bodied. Not without its flaws, but overall its extremely good!

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
This is a nice American pale that drinks lighter than it is while still being wholly flavorful. Dryness and herbal bitterness compliment the medium to light body and citric hop nose.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Growler thanks to pantanap, thanks Kan. Poured a orange body under an average sized foamy light white head. Aroma is sick!!! Citrus, cat piss, slight pine and some sweet honey upon warming and lots of apricot through out. The body has a good amount of carbonation even though this came from a growler shipped from several states away. Medium bodied, average duration on the aftertaste with a nice touch of bitterness. Flavor of citrus rind, apricot skins, peach pits, toasted multi grain bread. This was just awesome, oh and 3 Floyds growlers are twisted.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: AUG 26, 2013 fresh bottle. astoundingly bright and clean hop aroma; fruit / citrus-forward (peach, apricot, pineapple) with striking acid and a mild cheese rind character. malt is clean, biscuity, lightly toasty. zippy, snappy body with high-acid hop bitterness, low resin, soft carbonation and lasting citrus acid finish. rather impressive beer that would easily be my daily drinker were it available.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Interesting beer, though the first impression I had of it was rusty well water. This one takes a few swallows to grow on you. Pours a nice golden yellow with a fairly thick head of white, creamy froth. Citrus and pine notes in the aroma and flavor. Mouthfeel is a bit thin, almost watery. Not quite so full-bodied as some pale ales Iíve tried. I like it, but Iíve tasted better (and Three Floyds makes better).

3.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle graciously given to me by pantanap...thanks Kan! - Pours pale amber with a quickly dissipating off-white head. Smell is...damn...an eclectic mix of hops, dominated by mango, garlic, onion, melon, and a bit of citrus. Not much malt presence to speak of. The taste is pretty onion-and-garlic forward, with some light mildew, tropical fruit, and some light, sweet malt. A bit grassy/piney in the finish. Taste is obscured a bit by the biting carbonation, and itís got a little heavier body than the APAs Iím used to. Pretty good, but the taste doesnít match up to the smell.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Sampled at an ESBLS tasting. Big citrus hops are smelled. Those are also dominant in the flavor. This is kind of like one of Mikkellerís single hop series. Good but one dimensional. Again, good.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Draft samples at DLD 11. Pours a hazy dark golden color with a large white head. The aroma is big tropical fruits and citrus that filled the area around the picnic table even on a windy day. The flavor had more nice citrus and tropical fruits, caramel malts and a decent amount of bitterness to the finish. This is as flavorful as many IPAs that you can find. I canít wait to get my hands on a couple bottles to see how well they compare.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Big thanks to enelson for this. Poured into a pint glass.
4.0 A: Moderately hazed golden color. One and a half fingers of pillowy white head. Retention is about average and a good sized, full ring of lacing is left behind.
4.5 S: This APA has the hop aroma of a DIPA. Strong mango, followed by pineapple and orange. Grapefruit and pine after that. Sugary cake icing. No hints of any malt. Pretty clean overall.
4.0 T: The taste isnít as crazy citrusy as the nose. Still thereís a good bit of pineapple, mango, and orange. More pine and grapefruit than the nose suggests and not even close to as sugary. Moderate bitterness. A bit of malt this time in the way of breadiness and a light yeastiness. A little less clean than the nose.
4.0 M: Medium body. Good moderate carbonation, especially for a growler. Reasonably creamy and smooth overall.
4.0 D: This is a pretty good beer. It reminds me a lot of Selinís Grove IPA that I just had a few days ago, but a less intense version of that. Still, I would have no problem drinking this to get a citrusy hop fix.
Serving type: growler

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: DEC 9, 2012 Draft at The Dash-In. Great orange color. Really nice aroma. Plenty of hops in this beer. Bitterness is restrained, with a great hop bouquet and flavor. However, there is a substantial malt presence. And, itís almost a little too sweet for me. Citra is nice, but does add some sweetness on top of the malt. I would love for this to be drier. As it is, itís a nice beverage.
