4.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
Just delicious and so nicely hopped with a good balance on the malt end. Definitely get the hops but not a serious mouth pucker like some of their other IPA’s. This is more session-able, so to speak.

4.9 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
5/8/12- Pours a golden orange with a thin bright head that laces well. Aromas include grapefruit, mango, and sweet malt. Starts light and creamy with a touch of carbonation followed by smooth sweet biscuit malt that coats the tongue. Leaves behind mango and bitter citrus as it departs slowly. A fantastic APA that lives up to the hype.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Sample at the Central OH BA Tasting at From The Vine on 06/02/2012: Pours a clear bright orange-gold color with a medium white head that dissipates steadily. Stringy lacing on the glass. Aroma of floral hops, citrus and malt. Light to medium body with a crisp and zesty hops character that has floral and citrus notes, as well as some sweet malt. The finish is fruity with a lingering fresh hops aftertaste. Solid Pale Ale all around.

I love growlers and side by sides and this was an awesome thing to do, served out of a growler side by side with Citra IPA from Hillfarmstead. Citra FIGHT!
Beer is hazy and dark yellow with a nice head of medium and large bubbles that leaves some lacing on the glass. Carbonation is moderate to low.
Aroma is a little weaker than I had hoped but I can totally smell the tropical fruit bomb that awaits me.
Beer is relatively light in body with a very mild sweetness lead off and an explosion of hop character in the midpalate. The finish of the beer is mildly bitter but it is a wonderfully rounded beer with so much hop flavor. It’s lighter than I expected and not quite as bitter but I suppose this is an APA and not an IPA, I would have more of this anytime.

4.9 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Bottle purchased at the source. I’ve tried this a fare amount of times now. Picked up a case to take home from Dark Lord Day. Pours a hazy orange/ copper colour, with a fluffy white head. Lacing is spiderweb like. Aroma is absolutely amazing, mango, piles of citrus hops. Tastes is a complete balance between bitter and sweet. Obviously hops. True perfection in beer form. The best.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
12 oz bottle from a trade with zach. Thanks. Pours a hazy brass color with a medium white head that has fair retention. The aroma is strong with mixed citrus, mostly oranges, but also some lemons and limes. The flavor mirrors the aroma, with a big blast of oranges, grapefruit, lemons and limes. The malt base was just a tad bit sweet and worked well with the hops. The palate was full and silky smooth with lively carbonation. The finish is long and dry with lingering oranges. Overall: A first rate pale ale. I loved it.

From tap @Mikkeller. A bright orangey body, under a dense low blond cap of foam. Crisp and inviting fruity hop aroma. Tropical fruits and superfresh citrus hit the nose. Also a catty note, and hint of resiny hop oils. Appropriate light-bodied. Clean in the mouth. The flavor emphasizes the qualities of Citra hops really well. Fresh ripe citrus fruit flavor with tones of gooseberries and passion fruit. Dry pale malts in the backbone. Tight and fresh fruity bitterness in lasting finish. Simple and inviting, and easy drinking. I just love this one.

5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
Bottle via trade through PUB’R,, the Pennsylvania Underground Beer Railroad, and while we were trading this we pissed on a PLCB emblem and shoved some pins in a Wendell Young voodoo doll. The pour is turbid, thick, dark straw, and has a 3-finger off-white head that laces well. Nose is like Dreadnaught; and in fact in a blind test I trust I could not detect the difference. Huge piney hops with tons of honeydew, tangerine, pineapple, grapefruit, and black pepper all over the place. Definite 10 for nose. Tastes rich, complex, with huge pineapple, tangerine, honeydew, grapefruit, black pepper, and the full profile of my favorite hop, Citra. If I ever remarry, it will be to a Citra hop cone. This one just juices all over the place, all over your taste buds with the aroma filling the olfactory glands, and the taste continuing down the esophageal membranes. even the hop burps on this one smell great. If you can get this one, it is certainly worth your time. I just hope we can keep the eBay scumbags away, and I sincerely hope this review does not spark a wave of trading online, although to be honest I am starting to think that not only does Nick Floyd tolerate the inflated trading of his beers; but he clandestinely encourages it, as with Hollywood, "all publicity is good publicity".
