Received in a pint glass from cask. Clear orange amber with a 1/2 inch on foam. No visible carbonation. It this is a cask pour. Smell is nice grapefruit and hops. Taste is nice balanced hops up front. A little sweetness then malt with a bitter finish. Mouthfeel is not overly light, nice. Cask pour has minimal carbonation. Overall an excellent beer. Hops are very aromatic but not overwhelming in the taste. Very well balanced and easy to drink.

bottle, from Dave at Tyler’s Apex. good aroma, sweet, fruity, orange, apricot, peach. toffee, cereal malt. orangy gold color, good head and lace. sweet bitter flavor. medium body, creamy mouthfeel, bitter dry finish. Good beer. Nice fruity aroma, good sweet bitter mix on the flavor, flavor took on more of a grapefruit than orange that I found in aroma. solid APA and another reason to like Citra....

El citra en estado puro, Quizá de los aromas más intensos a lúpulo con los que me he topado, mantiene el IBU de una pale ale con ligeras notas a malta en sabor. Mango, Melocotón, Cítricos. Increible

UPDATED: JUL 17, 2012 Goes down great. A wonderful hop smell. Very fresh. This is a must try for any hop lover. I will forever crave having a Zombie Dust when I try a disappointing IPA.

On tap. Nice clear golden - amber color. Impressive foamy off-white head. Great lace. Delicious buttered bread malt aroma, with the perfect amount of delicious floral citrus hops, with a little spice. Awesome, crisp smooth carbonation, with a moderately dry finish. Mild bitter, light savory taste. Very easy to drink. Awesome that I finally got a chance to try this, and it totally lives up to the hype. Fantastic pale ale.

At the brewpub, nice hoppy and vegetal aromas and flavours. Slight, resin and grass aftertaste

Poured from a 12 oz. bottle into a Three Floyds imperial pint glass. Pours a darker golden color with orange hues with a two finger bright white head, great retention and abundant lacing as the head recedes. Extremely fragant with the smell of citrus rind, freshly cut grass, and orange blossoms on the nose. Opens with pleasant citrus, tangy to slighly bitter, a very light touch of sweet malt, and finishes dry, crisp and clean with citrus rind and a touch of pine and the perfect amount of bitterness. An very refreshing APA, which shows a surprising amount of complexity for a brew that uses only Citra hops.

UPDATED: JAN 3, 2013 As soon as you get this beer near your nose you’ll be hit by the amazing, lemony aroma of citra. The taste is really where this beer shines though, tons of lemony, citrus hop flavor with a bit of bitterness. Grain backbone is restrained, but balanced, as it should be.
