12oz bottle from 3F brewpub during their destruction phase. Pour is wonderful, nose is just out of this freaking world.. taste is pure bliss.. only thing preventing this from being higher is palate, a little thin.. but the drinkability and taste makes me want to bathe in this.. repeatedly

UPDATED: JUL 15, 2013 Bottle. Couldnt wait to try this pale ale from 3F. Poured a hazy, lively carb’s, copper color. Massive white head, lacing had strong retention. Aromas were very impressive wit tangerine, pineapple, grapefruit, pine, and seashore coming through. Taste is fruity citra hops, tangy and resinous pine, butter oak, ocean salt. Complex and refreshing pale ale. Alpha king is great but this is more my style.

A - Pours a fairly clear golden-orange color with a finger of frothy white head. The head fades down at a normal pace leaving behind some lace. S - Aroma is full of citrus hops with lots of grapefruit, orange peel, and some tropical fruits. There is also some sweet caramel malt and a bit of biscuit. T - Starts off with some grapefruit and orange peel hops with some bitterness and some sweet caramel malts in the background. Through the middle some pineapple and mango comes through with some more bitterness and some biscuit malt. The finish is a mix of citrus hops, bit of pine hops resin, good bitterness, and a bit of sweet malt. M - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Feels smooth with a dry and bitter finish. D - Very drinkable. Really great hop profile for an APA. The citrus flavors are nice and strong throughout and have some good complexity.

Had this gem on draft today before dinner at firkin. I'm sure the name comes from the smell, of which I love both! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Appearance: Pours out a clear, deep golden-hued body with a full-sized, foamy, near white head.

Smell: A big burst of raw citrus peelings, resins, and snappy floral hop notes atop a modest layering of unsalted crackers and untoasted bread.

Taste: Crackery, bready malt base lightly brushed with a thin coating of sweet simple syrup. Fresh-cut lemon peel, resinous resins, and fresh, inviting floral hop tastes. Plenty bitter, though not heinously bitterness. Drying at the close with some lingering resinous traces.

Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation.

Overall: A winsome hop character for a very nice APA.

Bottle. Pours a golden orange color with a white head. Aroma is super fruity and not too hoppy to be in IPA territory, I get lots of the citra hops, sweet orange, mandarin, peach, tropical fruits like mango and passion fruit. The flavor follows the nose lots of fresh hop juice, I get the tropical fruit flavors of mango and passion fruit, peach, mandarin, sweet orange, grapefruit, pine and some subtle sweet malt. The body is on the lighter side of medium with a dry mouth feel. Overall an outstanding APA, probably the best I have ever had, and I like how it doesn’t branch in to IPA territory.
