4.6 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
12oz bottle, no date, poured into a Surly pint glass.
Pours a dark honey-gold, with a frothy white head on top. Great sticky lace holds on for dear life. "The nose, the nose, my kingdom for the nose." All things holy, this is an amazing aroma. Fresh hops, pine needles, citrus zest, and a dry hay-like aroma. Other beers have bits and pieces of this aroma, but this is so potent and so fresh. Frick. I want to "cologne-up" with this stuff.
The body is well-balanced and carbed up well. Crisp and clean, not too heavy. Holds its own with the ABV. Hops, hops, hops. Yes, please. Fresh green hops, grapefruit, melon, orange slices, honey - all melded perfectly to make this splendid beer. This beer is bitter, no doubt, but I love that it doesn’t linger in any harsh manner. The finish is short, which I like and don’t like at the same time. I like that it keeps me sipping (or gulping) more and more, but I don’t like that my glass is soon empty, unable to be filled with this blessed brew again. More ZD, please!!!

Pours a copper color with a small lacy off white head. Tight bubble mouthfeel and long sweet finish. Notes of brown sugar, tangerine, Downey, pith, and grain alcohol.

I'm not great at describing the aroma and complexities in the taste. You can get that from the other reviewers. What I can say is that this is an extremely drinkable beer. A lot of 3F's offerings are a little too much for frequent consumption, but this is in my regular rotation. This might be my favorite summer beer.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from Santa ;-) - many thanks, Blafa! The beer pours out in a light cloudy amber colour with steady head and medium body. Wonderful aroma of hops and vanilla. Taste of fresh, ripe hops, citrus, spruce, coriander, pink pepper and malt. Medium dry, light bitter finish - great beer. Easy and nice to drink, delicious, refreshing AND quaffable.

Bottle. Poured pale amber with a medium-sized off-white head. Aroma and flavor are well-balanced between the lovely Citra hops (tropical fruits and citrus) and a deep caramel. Medium body. Extremely drinkable. Extraordinary beer.

I wanted to try this beer because of all the hype. Got one in a trade with evil cougar (thanks Jeff). Pours a golden honey color with small white head. Leaves lacing on glass. Beautiful citrus aroma. Sweet malty taste upfront followed by bitter citrus finish. Creamy mouthfeel with excellent carbonation. If I was a pale ale fan this would be my favorite beer. Well made excellent beer.

This is a 65kg wrestler kicking asses of 50-55kg wrestlers. Definitely one of the best if not the best "APA", but closer to Pliny than to Sierra Nevada pale ale. After drinking a few Three Floyds bitter american ales from APA to IIPA you can definitely taste a house flavor. Yeast seems English and similar to Firestone Walker. Tropical fruit and citrus on the nose with the standard grapefruit bitterness from Citra. A great beer.

I feel like this beer is truly one of a kind. I was lucky enough to score a few of these bad boys and enjoyed them 100%. Pours perfectly with bright orange color and a large head. Smells like grapefruit and marijuana. I can not explain this. I get lemongrass, spice and a perfect malt to balance the hops out. I like that this sits in under 7% because I often find that I want to continue drinking beers like Rampant by New Belgium or Hop Juice by Left Coast, but I can’t handle more than 3 beers in a quick sitting. If I want IPA, I want this. Always. Just sucks it’s so limited. Hands down the best Pale Ale I’ve had in a very, very long time.

A hazed honey amber body sits beneath a tall, slightly delicate yet smooth head leaving spots and dots of lace all around
At cooler temps, crisp citrus rind and hints of grass are balanced by sweet caramelly malts, a lightly resonating, strikingly dry medium-light palate offers a bit of tact after a few quaffs, fresh leafy hop notes, a juicy grapefruit character comes into play with some warmth, followed by peach accents, each bringing an added layer of vitality to this very fittingly named bone dry brew
