4.6 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
12oz bottle, no date, poured into a Surly pint glass.
Pours a dark honey-gold, with a frothy white head on top. Great sticky lace holds on for dear life. "The nose, the nose, my kingdom for the nose." All things holy, this is an amazing aroma. Fresh hops, pine needles, citrus zest, and a dry hay-like aroma. Other beers have bits and pieces of this aroma, but this is so potent and so fresh. Frick. I want to "cologne-up" with this stuff.
The body is well-balanced and carbed up well. Crisp and clean, not too heavy. Holds its own with the ABV. Hops, hops, hops. Yes, please. Fresh green hops, grapefruit, melon, orange slices, honey - all melded perfectly to make this splendid beer. This beer is bitter, no doubt, but I love that it doesn’t linger in any harsh manner. The finish is short, which I like and don’t like at the same time. I like that it keeps me sipping (or gulping) more and more, but I don’t like that my glass is soon empty, unable to be filled with this blessed brew again. More ZD, please!!!

Tap @ Hopleaf. Bright orange, reasonable head. Grain hop aroma. Bitter toffee hop flavour. Citrusy aftertaste. Good but not outstanding.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle from Jdizzle1 through SinH4, many thanks! 7 weeks old. Yes, citra hops indeed. Little grass, mostly citric, low tropical fruit. Medium body to full taste with a laid-back but still present carbonation. Juicy and chewy, quite sweet, just a little sticky. Late and simple bitterness leading to a fruity palate. Great balance, good drinkability. Very impressive for this ABV. Great beer!

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Slightly hazy orange color with off-white head. Aroma is quite dank with some vegetal hop notes. Taste starts also quite vegetal and earthy with some nutty malt throughout and medium bitterness on the finish. Medium body and bitterness. Quite good but it think it’s quite overhyped.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Hazy amber with medium white head. Aroma is lychee, fizzy tablet, grape sugar. Good amount of resiny bitterness with some fruity sourness above. Medium heaviness. Somehow a little watery. Long resiny bitter finish. Good. Not that well rounded I think.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Draft at the brewery. Pours almost clear gold with a fizzy off white head. Tastes like caramel malt, smooth booze, lemon, and grapefruit hops. Light/medium body and carbonation. Smells like grapefruit hops, caramel malt, lemon, and booze.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
on tap @ Hebron Brewhaus / Hebron KY --- Maybe I’ve listened to too much hype over the years, but I was mildly disappointed with this brew. No problem with my sample - definitely fresh, definitely what the brewer intended. Aroma of sweet malt. Clear medium amber, white head that quickly reduces to a cover, lace curtain. Taste is caramel malt, but it is assaulted by dominant hops in a medium fizzy swallow. The hops push on single handed to a finish that doesn’t even have a memory of malt. Too hop-heavy to satisfy me, and my weak palate.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle, by way of trade with jmbeergeek. Cheers Joe! Pale, amber gold. Film and ring of dense, lasting, white head. Nose has pink grapefruit. Ripe orange. Some peach juice. Background of buttered toast malts. Taste is light, citrusy bitter. Some soft sweetness on the lips. Palate is light and creamy. Super easy drinking. The citrus bitterness rises on the finish, getting nicely zesty and oily. I could do a gallon of this.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
One finger yellow-ish head, little hazy
Aroma: pine, orange, citrus
Taste: blood orange, little pine, good amount of hops and malt.
This rating is from a bottle a bit past it’s prime but still a pleasure.

4.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
12 ounce Bottle. Pours golden/orange, slightly hazy with creamy 1/4 inch head. Smells of citrus with slight pine undertone. Nice smooth orange citrus taste, not much of lingering bitter aftertaste. Smooth drinking, but bold hops at the same time. Quite honestly, this is the best beer I have ever imbibed ....
