4.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
UPDATED: NOV 2, 2013 Pours a dark orange color with a finger length white head. Dissipates quickly and leaves a nice lacing. Smells of intense, juicy, sweet fruits like pineapple, mango, grapefruit, some peach, tiny bit of floral notes, lots of tropical fruit, sweet carmel. Almost like a bubblegum smell. Taste starts a hefty dose of citrus, sweet, savory fruits like pineapple, mango, and peach, get some floral qualities as well. Very classic floyds taste. Then gets even sweeter with the carmel malts and more fruits. Then finishes with more citrus fruits, even more tropical fruits, more carmel. Nice dry finish. During the entire taste profile, a good amount of hop bitterness lingers. Somewhat bitter, but just so darn smooth, fruity, and refreshing and definitely not as intense as the aroma suggests. Mouthfeel is creamy. Medium body with a good amount of carbonation, which adds to the refreshing quality of the beer. Have had it many times, and never ceases to amaze me. Best session beer on the market.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Poured from a six pack of bottles, nice looking glass of beer. Taste was tropical fruit, some fresh hops, very little bitter, went down smooth and quickly. Could have been stronger for the price.

On tap at Tap-House Munich. Hazy, dirty golden with a healthy offwhite foam. Hoppy passion fruit aroma. Exotic fruits hop bitterness, dwarfing the hints of toffee. No compromise hop bitterness!

Poured from a 12 oz bottle.
Aroma was almost all citrus. Appearance orange. Taste was a very well balanced citrus without the harsh bitterness you would expect for this style. Outstanding IPA.

4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Eminently drinkable considering the octane. Well balanced was the first thought that came to mind, hops, citrus in the grapefruit direction. Not overly hopped like some Three Floyds manifestations. The aroma did not register with me as much as other reviewers, perhaps they had it on draught.

Wow this is awesome, it’s no wonder it’s so sought after. Big hoppy aroma and the taste follows, if you were to drink this blind you would think IPA. Citrus and piney flavors all the way through and they hang out long after the finish.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle pours dark apricot with a fluffy persistent head. Smells of Citra hops: tropical scents of mango, papaya, pineapple. Smooth, balanced palate of sweet mango, with a refreshingly bittering finish. Overall, a nice, lush, fruity style APA.
