I can see why this is such a sought after beer. Nothing about it is weak. It has a nice golden color, great smell and a taste that reminds me of Lagunitas Sucks.

BOD 3/30/16. Clear light amber (dark gold) pour. World class head volume, lacing and retention. World class nose of citra hops - orange, pineapple, mango - over a pale malt base with a touch of biscuit and caramel. Light medium body that is smooth in texture with a oily slickness. Very good carbonation / body balance with a mildly effervescent middle and a prickly finish. The flavor profile is quite outstanding. Being single hop, it is not complex but it is reasonable in intensity and very well balanced. It begins with a blended flavor that separates, to a degree, from the middle on. First is a general citrus flavor that hints at zest then flows to a mildly bittered middle. Bitterness is balanced by a subtle sweetness underneath that never really takes center stage. From here the tropicals arrive...mango, pineapple and finally orange. Throughout the taste experience is a subtle earthy dank current that makes its strongest showing just before and through the finish. The finish lingers with a light dryness and zest.

Bottle. Awesome citrus pine aroma, golden pour with dissipating head. Nice bitter dry mouthfeel with solid hops and minimal malt. Great for aroma and dryness. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a cloudy bright orange, with a big off white head. Aroma is pine, citrus and hops. Taste is a bit sweet and finishes dry. Very nice flavors, quite refreshing. Another really good beer from Three Floyd’s.....but......I think Alpha King is just a wee bit better.

Pours a slightly hazy orange amber. Aroma is big citrus, pine, and some dank essence. Taste is juicy citrus, apricots, orange, medium hop bite and hints of caramel malts. Overall - bright, tangy and long lasting taste. Great beer.

12oz bottle via trade, thanks to Ryan. It pours a clean golden color with a medium white head. Aroma is intense rich citric hops, tangerine, orange peel, light danky grass notes. Taste is medium sweet and lightly tangy dry in the finish. Some residual sweetness coats the palate with notes of honey melon, ripe apricots, orange peel, tangerine. Finish is more dry with light dank, grass, lemon leaves. Medium bodied with good carbonation. Overall, very tasty

Pours a bright gold with a white foam head. Aroma is juicy citrus, pine and floral hops, and some resin. Flavor is juicy citrus and floral hops, resin, and light caramel malts. The bitterness is low, leaving a smooth body. What impresses me is that this beer remains bright and flavorful from the first sip to the last. Excellent beer.

One of my favorite hoppy beers. Personally think three floyds is a bit overrated but this is a great beer from them. Great on the palate and a solid hop finish great all around ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

one of the best beers in the world. always impresses. a near perfect balance of malty backbone, complex hops, fruity undertones, crisp mouthfeel and a long finish. amazing nose when served a bit warmer, but so damn good freezing cold too.
