Caramel, chocolate, and some coffee bitterness in the aroma. Flavor is somewhat mild and sweet, with a little coffee bitterness in the finish. Pretty good.

An okay stout. Malty backbone with a chocolate butter finish. Smells really malty pours dark brown with a thick tan head. Very carbonated. Was a cheap buy. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Location: 22 oz bottle from Buy Rite, 8/24/14

Aroma: It is mostly roasted malts and coffee, with some chocolate, molasses, and caramel notes
Appearance: It pours a dark brown color with a small, frothy light brown head, and spotty lace
Flavor: The taste leans toward the unsweetened coffee side of the style, with a mid-bitter close
Palate: The body is medium, leaning light, not watery, with a soft-to-average carbonation
Overall Impression: I believe this will knock me into the top 5 raters of Three Heads, so that’s cool. This is a pretty solid dry stout. There’s enough of a light sweetness to keep it well balanced, but it leans more roasty and bitter than it does sweet. This is a nice one, nothing outstanding, just a well made beer. Maybe a bit underrated on here.

UPDATED: MAR 10, 2014 Pours a warm chocolate brown with a light tan head. Aroma has roast malt and caramel notes. Flavor echoes the roast malt and caramel of the aroma lip us a hint of toffee. Texture is firm, fairly smooth, fairly fizzy. Get your beer head on!

On tap harefield rd in Williamsburg but listed as winter stout?? Nice bitter tones but good balance. Not too thick but got some body to it, with some coffee flavors. A success in the snow!

Second brew from this brewery (Too Kind) and was as pleased as I was with the first one! Really subtle stout that gives off hints of caramel and vanilla. Very good during a Winter Olympics Fantasy Draft (2014 Sochi Russia)! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Pours a clear dark brown body with a huge frothy dark brown head that slowly faded. The nose is nicely roasty with lots of caramel and a lactose like sweetness. Maybe a touch of vanilla and a light chocolate note. The flavor is pretty sweet, but I suppose that it’s to style. The roast is fairly intense with a clingy stickiness that really lingers. This is pretty enjoyable, but it gets a bit tiring because of the combination of the sweetness and stickiness. Medium bodied with a bit too much frothy carbonation. Not among my favorites for the style, but I can get through a bottle of it.
