COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Sometimes things go together so well, one wonders what life was like before it - like peanut butter and jelly, hippies and patchouli. With that in mind, we at the 3HB lab have created the Bromigo, bringing together smoked malts and maple syrup, amber ale and spicy hops, bold flavor and a sweet finish. It just goes together like Bro and Amigo. Enjoy friend!

22 ounce bottle. Pours a cloudy orange color with a massive foamy, rocky beige head and thick clinging lace. Aroma is both smoky and mapley, like maple cured bacon. Sweet toasted malt flavor, again more smoke and maple syrup flavor. Slightly medicinal, but the smoke is dominant. Subtle bitter finish with underlying notes of vanilla and raisins.

22 ounce bottle into tulip glass, no bottle dating. Pours lightly cloudy ruby copper color with a 2 finger fairly dense and rocky light khaki head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a good amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Aromas of big apple skin, pear, toast, light caramel, light smoke, herbal, and yeast earthiness. Poor aromas with overly estery notes and light malt presence. Taste of caramel, toast, smoked meat, brown bread, brown sugar, maple syrup, light chocolate, herbal, and toasted earthiness. No bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of caramel, toast, brown sugar, smoke, light chocolate, brown bread, herbal, and toasted earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Nice balance and complexity of dark malt, smoke, and maple syrup flavors; with good robustness and zero cloying sweetness after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a moderately creamy, smooth, and lightly bready mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with only a light warming present after the finish. Overall, other than the horrible aromas, this was a very solid smoked amber ale. Well balanced dark/bready malt, smoke, and maple syrup flavors; and very smooth to sip on. This was quite enjoyable.

Unique smokiness and a biting bitterness really bring this beer together. I did not really get much in the way of maple flavor. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Clear deep ruby amber color, thick beige head, solid lacing, a beautiful beer. Aroma of burnt toast drizzled with maple syrup and light spice. Taste also has spice, burnt caramel, black pepper. Tasty stuff.

Bottle from wegmans. Pours clear amber with a large off white head and solid lacing. The aroma has a mesquite note and a bit of pancake. The taste is medium smoky, sweet maple, and a bit of sweetness on the finish. I dig it.

A: Deep Amber hue, Off White Foamy Head, some Lacing S: Deep Smoke, Roasted Malts, mild Sweetness T: Deep Smoke with a Roasted Malt Finish, mildly Bitter M: Well Carbonated, Medium Bodied, Smokey, Bitter Mouth Overall, an average beer, heavy on the smokies, decent roasted malt, too mild on the Maple. Inconsistent IMO, not balanced.
