2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 odinstyr (457) - Hamilton, New Jersey, USA - APR 10, 2013
Pours a clear orange with a foamy cream head. Smells of smoke, bread, sweet floral. Taste is moderately sweet, mildly bitter, mildly smoky, lightly spiced - barely a hint of maple, grassy hops. A lot going on but it doesn’t come together strongly.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 bytemesis (1426) - Sunnyvale, California, USA - MAR 23, 2013
Bottle. Pours hazy reddish amber with a medium fizzy beige head that quickly dissipates with decent lacing. Sweet aroma, caramel, maple syrup, light smoke and ash. Flavor is similar, only lightly sweet with a touch of maple. Smoky notes more prominent. Light ashy bitterness and astringence. Not a bad effort.

22 oz bomber poured into Oxbow snifter.
Smell is a bit smoky and sweet. You can definitely tell there is maple in there
Taste is a little sweet with maple and smoky undertones. There's a really nice hop balance here too. If there was too much sweetness, this would just not work. Fortunately it does.
Overall, Three Heads is new to Maine, and from what I've tried, they make some really solid beers. Bromigo, is definitely a winner. Will revisit.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 bbbeer (412) - Massachusetts, USA - JAN 12, 2013
Red-brown with ridiculously large light brown head. Aroma faintly smoky and maply (mapley?) but mostly malts. Medium body. Not much carbonation, no alcohol. Flavor is not particularly smoky at all, mostly lightly sweet malt with just a light touch of hops. A decent beer, I think there was something more interesting here trying to get out but it didn’t quite make it.

Location: 22 oz bottle ottle from Buy Rite, 1/6/13
Aroma: The aroma is a smoked malts and sweet maple mostly, light herbal hops
Appearance: It pours a clearish mahogany color with a small beige head
Flavor: The flavor is similar to the nose component-wise, with sweetness and smoke
Palate: This one is medium bodied, with average-plus carbonation, and a slightly smokey finish
Overall Impression:
This is a solid one for sure, with nice components. Worth trying.

22 oz bottle. Clear brown with a beige head. Nose is toffee, smoke and maple. Medium light with a tingle. Taste is nicely balanced between sweet maple and smoke. Slightly bitter grassy finish. I like the concept but think this could be amped up a bit.

From notes. Amber body, thin head, minimal lacing. Chocolate, light smoke, some roast, caramel and moderate graininess. Medium bodied, a little light on the carbonation, somewhat syrupy. Eh.

Sampled at an esbls tasting. Brown with a blotchy beige head. A summer sausage abd maple aroma. The flavor is that with light hop notes. The smoke fades and the meat and maple grow. Interesting.

This wasn’t what I expected. It billed itself as a smoked amber. No smoke flavor at all. What i got was a smooth easy drinking amber. Pretty good brew.
