3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a clear golden with a weak white head. The aroma is citrus hops, bread, banana, and grass. I detect some sourness as well. The taste contains bread, lemon, apple, along with some floral flavors. Strangely, it still it is still kind of sour. Short bready and lemon aftertaste. LIght in body, thin in texture, with average carbonation. It is crisp and easy to drink. I though this was pretty good. Maybe unspectacular, but good enough to drink again without any hesitation.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
A: Amber/Golden Straw Hue, Passes Lots of Light, White Head Ring, Some Lacing
S: Yeast, Malty, Mild Floral
T: Yeast, Matls, Mild Floral, Yeast (again)
M: Decent Carbonation, Light to Medium Bodied, Mildly Bitter, Somewhat Yeasty
Overall, an average mildly hoppy lager...might be a better with a different hop IMO.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Pours a clear dark gold body with a large frothy white head that slowly receded leaving a lot of sticky lacing. The nose is lightly fruity with some bready malt and and a light floral hoppiness. The flavor follows the aroma in step, slightly sweet bready pale malt, more bitterness than suggested by the nose. Lingering bitterness adds a lot of character to the finish. Mouthfeel is lighter bodied with fizzy frothy carbonation. Pretty nice effort.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
I quite like the loftiness of the aroma, which has some hops and dryness. An orangish color. This is tasty. A definitely dry body, but tasty and good. Mostly tastes like a pils to me.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
(bottle - 22 oz) Hazy gold pour with a puffy and lasting white head and heavy carbonation. Lightly sweet aroma with a definite grassy hop undertone. Floral and peppery hop bite at the start of the flavor. Not as much sweet malt as I thought it would be. Bitter taste lingers throughout and stays on the palate in the aftertaste. Good and very drinkable.

2.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Cloudy, light amber-brown with a short, off-white head.
Aroma is faint....malt, light grain.
Taste is strongly metallic....grains..a hint of rye....
Dry, herbal bittering...grass..
Ok, but the metal notes just get more pronounced as it goes.

1.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Bottle. Fairly standard-looking beer, golden and clear, white, sticky head. The aroma is sweet and malty. The beer drinks with a mashy, corn-like character, quite light in body. Smooth finish, but the aftertaste is a bit off. (#5040, 5/27/2013)

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
In short: A straightforward golden beer with a ferrous sensation. Meh.
How: Botlle 22oz, consumed a few months after purchase.
The look: Clear pale-golden body topped by a large white head with medium retention.
In long: Nose is ferrous and also borderline rustic, a mix between scrapyard rusting metals and dusty attic, kind of strange. Taste is also very ferrous, rusty metal sensation, toasted husky grains, some toasted sugars, plenty of minerals, dried fruits (no juicy fresh fruits flavors here). Dry astringent ferrous finish with a mild herbal bitterness. A abundant carbonation with very hard bubbles adds an underired acidity sensation. Of the few California Commons Iíve had (an infrequent style) about half of them had this ferrous/rusty and mineral water flavor to them. Not too sure what to make of it, this beer was kind of off. Not my favorite brewery. Some people donít know it, but there are cheaper ways to have people look down on you than buying a full case of Three Heads beers.
