COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We often hear "Try our famous wings." F’real?? Dudes, we’re from Rochester! A magical land where the river flows backwards and chicken wings double in size. Where a big, bold and saucy Snack deserves an equally tasty brew. A land where we dare you to eat the bread at the bottom of the sauce! Country Shwheat, because it’s 2 am somewhere.

superspak (2537) - Michigan, USA - AUG 19, 2013
22 ounce bottle into tulip glass; no bottle dating, but was released recently. Pours lightly hazy and cloudy golden amber color with a 2 finger dense and fluffy white head with awesome retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass. Aromas of lemon zest, orange zest, peach, pineapple, pear, honey, wheat, floral, grass, light pine, bread, and floral earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of malt and hop notes; with good strength. Taste of big lemon zest, orange zest, peach, pineapple, pear, honey, wheat, light pine, floral, grass, bread, and floral earthiness. Light pine bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of citrus zest, peach, pineapple, pear, wheat, honey, light pine, floral, grass, bread, and floral earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice balance and complexity of citrus hops with bread/honey malt balance; with a great hop/malt sweetness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full bodied; with a moderately slick and fairly crisp mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a slight warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a very nice imperial hoppy wheat ale. All around nice balance and complexity of hop and malt flavors; and very smooth to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

22 oz. bottle. Pours a cloudy yellow gold with a moderate fluffy white head that lasted until nearly mid-glass and left considerable lace. The aroma is sweet with malt and some citrus. The flavor is a bit sweet with malt, wheat, and lemon. A bit of alcohol burn at the finish. Mild bitterness. On the heavier side of medium bodied.

Growler. Pours gold with a white head. Wheaty and lightly sweet malts, with grassy and flowery hops, followed by a nice medium bitter finish. The stronger ABV is a bit noticeable, but it doesn’t detract much overall. Pretty good.

Bomber. I’m not always sold on imperial wheats, given that the strength of wheat beers is in their lightness and refreshment. This isn’t a witbier or anything like that, just a strong wheat. 46 IBUs isn’t bad, but not a lot for such high gravity. It’s pretty good. Decent heft to it and it would go well with summery foods. The finish is kind of ugly. Not a bad way to get buzzed.

FROTHINGSLOSH (4895) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 2, 2013
UPDATED: SEP 3, 2013 Sampled on draft at Smokin’ Joe’s this beer poured a dark golden color with a medium sized fluffy white head that lingered and left great lacing. The aroma was sweet and tangy golden fruits. The flavor was sweet, tangy and bready with notes of melon, golden fruits and a boozy presence that grew with each sip. Medium length tangy bread, melon, golden fruits and alcohol finish. Moderately full bodied. The alcohol starts to really distract. Ok.

Bottle. Poured a thick golden with white head and no lace. Aroma of wheat and sweet malts and some hops. The flavor had some more of the hops with wheat malt and some citrus notes. Some bitterness was there to help hide the alcohol. Decent beer.

Bomber pour to shaker. Hazy, light yellow, thick head. Smooth wheat palate. Pretty good, but would be better on a hot summer day.

Bottle from Wegmans Collegeville. Pours turbid orangy dark straw with a finger of off-white head. Nose is wheaty malt, hopcitrus, corn flakes. Tastes wheaty malty, with notes of hops, bready corn flakes, apricot, mild lemongrass. As it warms, I get more wheat, tangeriney citrus, white pepper, and well hidden alcohol with a big palate heft and solid complexity. However, as I finish the bomber, I get a semi-metallic flavor that does detract somewhat from the overall experience.

Clear, dark gold, nice lacing pattern. German hops in the nose, clean taste, a bit of mineral/iron in the taste, dry German hop finish. Wheat adds body but I don’t get much in the way of flavor from it. Seems like a strong lager. Good summer beer and I bet it would be a good wings accompaniment.

22 oz bottle: Aroma has got a nice pungent hop note, wheat scent, and a bit of nutty malt in the backing. Appearance is a golden hue with a thick white head. Taste has got a big wheat note, resin hop note, and a bit bread. Palate is medium carbonation and a gritty wheat aftertaste. Overall, It’s OK. Cheers!
