Nice espresso characteristics but pales in comparison to the Bells Java Stout I picked up on the same trip. Still mighty fine.

650ml bottle purchased for 99 cents. Aroma is serrano, date, and chocolate. Stale coffe flavor, chocolate, mint, stale but not completely offensive.

This a strange beer. Kind of a saison slash porter. Fruity flavorvwithba smokey finish. Smells like a saison. Pours black with a tan head. Had out of a bomber at home. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Dark color, beige head. Dark roast, dark coffee, dark chocolate aroma. Dark flavor of oat, coffee, chocolate, hop, sugar. So much coffee in this. Not bad.

Bomber courtesy of Strykzone. Thanks Dave. Poured almost black with tan head. Thick lacing. Nose of coffee and chocolate. Bold body .Creamy in mouth. Flavor is rich and full of chocolate and coffee and there is a dry biter finish. Really nice.

Dark cola brown pour with aroma of coffee and roasted malt. Coffee and roasted malt flavor with some hops and wood at the back end. Overall, a nice beer.

Nice dark pour. Can't figure the taste and aroma of this beer. Has coffee and seems Like a hint of alcohol on the nose. It tastes of really bad sweetened iced coffee.

Pours a luscious coffee brown that lets in a peek of caramel daylight at the bottom and has a thick, if not overly persistent, tan head. Roast malt has a strong overtone of roast quality coffee and a hint of molasses. Hops and a snip of spice come through in the delightful roast coffee flavor - this is very like a "black" IPA. I love hoppy beers and dark beers, so this is indeed a good three-way marriage! Texture lacks firmness and fizz; but it leaves a nice finish of quality coffee, roast malt, and woody hops. Java this sutra on your tongue!

Bottle from shelf. Pours a deep brown, almost black with a scant head. Aromas of straight up coffee. Not much else in the nose. Taste is bitter and semi dry. Flavors of coffee, coffee and more coffee. Can almost taste the grinds. This is basically lightly carbonated black iced coffee with a touch of creamer. Not that itís a bad thing, itís just what it is. If you need your coffee fix with alcohol, this is the beer for you. Probably the most coffee forward beer Iíve ever had.

On tap at the Distillery. Pours a dark brown with a thick tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, sweet malt, chocolate. Flavor of sweet malt, roasted malt, light char, light coffee grounds. Not very impressed by this one - a sweet porter with very little coffee notes. 6/4/5/3/11 (2.9/5)
