3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
This was a pleasant surprise. Very hoppy nose, citrus notes dominate, particularly grapefruit. Orange/red appearance, dark thick head with much retention. Beautifully balanced hop / malt. Takes amber to a new level. Oats add body and a bit of sweetness. This one is going to get a regular spot in my fridge.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
(bottle - 22 oz) Copper pour with a creamy looking white head. Hoppy and citrusy aroma . Flavor begins with a good citrus hop flavor with a slightly dry and fruity bitterness. Oatmeal isn’t very apparent but that doesn’t matter to me. Really great citrus and floral hop flavor.

Another blackipa gem. Great head and lacing on this amber beer. You’ll be happy if that’s your thing. Graham cracker, oat, earthy hops, citrus, a touch of pine all in the nose. Odd mouthfeel, but I actually like it for a change.

A hoppy scent. A hoppy taste. Then a subtle red ale flavor. I can barely taste the oatmeal flavors. I have never had or noticed the combination of a red ale & oatmeal beverage. Now I know why. It is a good drink just not my thing.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Aroma is piney/spicy hops and a strong hint of the oatmeal. The flavor is grapefruit, malts, kiwi and a mix of smooth and spiciness in the finish.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle: pours deep clear copper, soft tan head. Aroma of caramel malts, earth, pine and faint grains. More of the same on the palate with a reasonable dryness and malt based finish. Barely got the oatmeal distinction for this hoppy red.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Draught from Sputen Duyvil. Dark amber pour with generous off-white head. Sticky hops--resin, pine, and some citrus on the nose, but some sweet caramel as well. Taste adds unpleasant metallic element.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours an amber with a white head. Heavy pine aroma, along with apple, apricot, caramel, and a bit of grapefruit. Taste is big in apple, while caramel is more pronounced. Lots of pine and very grassy. Somewhat sour also. Good hoppy kick that is quite unexpected for this style. I actually an impression that this is more similar to an IPA instead of an amber. Piney aftertaste. Sticky feel when drinking with good carbonation. This one is a little more unusual and very enjoyable. I’m very happy that I tried this.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
22oz bottle from Beers of the World in Henrietta. Pours a deep red with a nice head of soapy white bubbles. Aroma is plenty hoppy and with some caramel sweetness. The flavors are very well blended - the oatmeal helps develop the body nicely. Incredibly easy to drink.
