Undated but just purchased 12 oz bottle. This is first and foremost a hoppy red ale with no clear sign of oatmeal although it may contribute to the relatively smooth feel. Moderately bitter with plenty of tropical fruit notes and some spiciness from the hops. The hops seem more earthy and herbal and less fruity in the nose. Lingering, moderately bitter, hoppy aftertaste.

On tap at McFaddens beer fest. Pours a nice amber with a thin head. The aroma is malty sweet with some caramel. The flavor has the typical Red aspect but is enhanced with a nice hop presence. Finishes very dry and refreshing.

Reviewed from notes. The appearance has a mahogany colored body that leaves a one finger white foamy head that concaves into the body within about twenty seconds. The smell is based around some citrus and floral yet somewhat sweet hops. Some light malty oatiness comes out as the beer warms. The taste takes the smells and adds a nice sweet yet somewhat bitterness. The palate sits about a medium sort of feel indicating a great balance of wateriness to thickness. This is fairly sessionable. Overall, though the beer has some nice qualities that are different for the style, it is still good for the style and good enough for me to have some more.

Bottle to enjoy Sunday evening. Pours deep copper with 2 finger beige head and nice nose of spruce forest. Tastes of malt, caramel, pine, earth, and toast. Pretty dry and plenty enjoyable

March 2013 from bottle. My first beer from this brewer and not disappointing at all. Amber color with a white head. Caramel aromas with spice, fruit and malt. Good hop balance and a smooth finish.

Bottle gift from SJ. Nice notes of bread, hop, and caramel malts. Body was a bit thin, but not a bad brew overall.

Bottled. Reddish tinged brown with white head. Sweet oats and hoppy red with juicy malt. Good.

Draught from Sputen Duyvil. Dark amber pour with generous off-white head. Sticky hops--resin, pine, and some citrus on the nose, but some sweet caramel as well. Taste adds unpleasant metallic element.

This was a pleasant surprise. Very hoppy nose, citrus notes dominate, particularly grapefruit. Orange/red appearance, dark thick head with much retention. Beautifully balanced hop / malt. Takes amber to a new level. Oats add body and a bit of sweetness. This one is going to get a regular spot in my fridge.

Bomber from Wegman’s college ville. Pours reddish copper with some light coming through, a medium sized off white head, medium lacing. The aroma is certainly hoppy. There is a good bit of floral notes, medium pine, tropical fruit, a little sweetness. The taste has a nice hop punch at the front of the tongue that gives way to some caramel malt, a little rye, a little citrus. A solid offering.. and a bit dry, honestly.
