March 2013 from bottle. My first beer from this brewer and not disappointing at all. Amber color with a white head. Caramel aromas with spice, fruit and malt. Good hop balance and a smooth finish.

Draught at the Gingerman NYC sept 2012. Dark amber beer with a small offwhite head. Very sweetish and hoppy aroma. Similar flavour.

From a bottle. Pours opaque copper with a fizzy white head. Tastes like musky grains, roasted malt, and bitter hops. Light body and low carbonation. Smells like roasted malt and musky grains.

Bottled. Reddish tinged brown with white head. Sweet oats and hoppy red with juicy malt. Good.

This was a pleasant surprise. Very hoppy nose, citrus notes dominate, particularly grapefruit. Orange/red appearance, dark thick head with much retention. Beautifully balanced hop / malt. Takes amber to a new level. Oats add body and a bit of sweetness. This one is going to get a regular spot in my fridge.

Bottle to enjoy Sunday evening. Pours deep copper with 2 finger beige head and nice nose of spruce forest. Tastes of malt, caramel, pine, earth, and toast. Pretty dry and plenty enjoyable

Bomber from Wegman’s college ville. Pours reddish copper with some light coming through, a medium sized off white head, medium lacing. The aroma is certainly hoppy. There is a good bit of floral notes, medium pine, tropical fruit, a little sweetness. The taste has a nice hop punch at the front of the tongue that gives way to some caramel malt, a little rye, a little citrus. A solid offering.. and a bit dry, honestly.

Reviewed from notes. The appearance has a mahogany colored body that leaves a one finger white foamy head that concaves into the body within about twenty seconds. The smell is based around some citrus and floral yet somewhat sweet hops. Some light malty oatiness comes out as the beer warms. The taste takes the smells and adds a nice sweet yet somewhat bitterness. The palate sits about a medium sort of feel indicating a great balance of wateriness to thickness. This is fairly sessionable. Overall, though the beer has some nice qualities that are different for the style, it is still good for the style and good enough for me to have some more.

Bottle. Clear amber body. Frothy, off-white head. Aroma of toasted grain, light pine, grapefruit. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Caramel and hops in the flavor. A bit more bitter than amber ales, but not a big hop display that’s promised.

On tap at Sticky Lips BBQ in Henrietta, NY. Clear, nearly opaque deep mahogany with thin creamy head and excellent lacing. Aroma of pine and citrus with hints of smokey malt. Taste is hoppy of grapefruit and pine. Caramel malt occasionally sneaks around the hops. A bit of peppery spice also comes through. Not overly bitter. Rather nice. Medium full mouthfeel with a fine tingling carbonation. Tasty beer. Reminds me of a black IPA, but with more of an oatmeal character. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
