Three Heads Loopy is a very clear, sparkling copper ale with a thick, lumpy, off white head that has great retention and lacing. It has a hoppy, grassy aroma with a resiny sweetness. Itís medium bodied, a little chalky at the finish. It has good balance. Itís pretty bitter, but appropriately so. Thereís just a very slight hint of sweetness. It tastes grassy, fruity and it seems just a touch roasty. The aftertaste is long and bitter. The oatmeal adds mostly a texture to it. Interesting idea. Itís a stand-up red ale.

Aroma is piney/spicy hops and a strong hint of the oatmeal. The flavor is grapefruit, malts, kiwi and a mix of smooth and spiciness in the finish.

Pours deep blood orange into a Sam glass. Off-white head with excellent retention recedes leaving spot lacing to coat surface. Sweet resin and tropical fruit aromas. Medium bodied with sweet caramel upfront turning to bitter grapefruit and resin in the lasting finish.

Bomber from Caponeís. Pours caramelly ruby colored with clingy off-white head. Nose is piney hops, caramel malt, red wine grapes. Tasted complex, with a piney hop flavor, some vinous fruit at mid-palate, spare caramel malt, and a very hoppy finish.

An interesting brew indeed. Shared pour from a 22oz large format bottle. Has a distinct oat/biscuit taste, a decent texture and interesting viscosity. Pours a beautiful ruby red with brown hues, little to no head. No lace left on the glass. Nose is biscuit/yeast/caramel and hop notes, with a great balance of texture, flavor, and aroma. Great brew from a Rochester brewery!

Bottle with a cool label. Pours like all red/ambers should -- rich with color, with a reasonably sized but resilient head of slightly tan foam. The aroma is solidly laden with enough malt and hop character to draw you in. This drinks with a very nice, velvety mouthfeel, and the beer is rich with some fruity hoppiness, very well interlaced with a concrete base of firm malt. Quite good. (#5324, 11/14/2013)

Tap from Lazy Dog. Pours a slightly hazy amber with a ring of cream colored head. Aroma very citrus up front, especially oranges and peaches. Taste is a more balanced beer with malts joining in the party. Pleasantly surprising beer.
