12oz bottle poured into a tulip glass. Slightly hazy amber with a big, rocky off white head. Fruity hops, tropical notes, some grass and flowers. Juicy hop flavors, light caramel malt, marmalade, hi bitterness. Medium bodied, very hoppy, slightly over carbonated but fun.

Reviewed from notes. The appearance has a mahogany colored body that leaves a one finger white foamy head that concaves into the body within about twenty seconds. The smell is based around some citrus and floral yet somewhat sweet hops. Some light malty oatiness comes out as the beer warms. The taste takes the smells and adds a nice sweet yet somewhat bitterness. The palate sits about a medium sort of feel indicating a great balance of wateriness to thickness. This is fairly sessionable. Overall, though the beer has some nice qualities that are different for the style, it is still good for the style and good enough for me to have some more.

Bottle. Pours a bright amber / red. Aroma is mild caramel malts and slight piney hops. Taste is hoppy, pine with a well rounded malt backbone bringing hints of caramel and toast. Fades to a solid bitterness. Palate is creamy, med to high carbonation. Overall a delicious beer. Well rounded.

Bomber. Pours red and orange with a frothy beige head. Floral and herbal hoppiness with some biscuit notes. The flavor is spicy floral hops and citrus rind, with some malty sweetness. Average mouthfeel, verging on creamy. Nice. [980]

On tap at Sticky Lips BBQ in Henrietta, NY. Clear, nearly opaque deep mahogany with thin creamy head and excellent lacing. Aroma of pine and citrus with hints of smokey malt. Taste is hoppy of grapefruit and pine. Caramel malt occasionally sneaks around the hops. A bit of peppery spice also comes through. Not overly bitter. Rather nice. Medium full mouthfeel with a fine tingling carbonation. Tasty beer. Reminds me of a black IPA, but with more of an oatmeal character. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

22 oz. bottle. Pours a clear red with a moderate tan head that lasted through the first quarter of the glass and left partial lace. Pleasant aroma of crystal malt along with a few citrusy notes. The flavor is malt with a bit of caramel followed by a wash of moderate grapefruit pith bitterness along with a bit of pine. The initial smoothness from the oatmeal is more than offset by the hops wash. Medium bodied.

Bomber: Pours amber-red with a frothy, light tan head. Aroma is floral, light oatmeal. Taste is like an APA, a little peel and pine, Steady herbal/leafy bitter....nut, wood. Not what I expected, but not bad.
