Rochestafarian n. 1. A beer, malty in nature, brewed to honor Rochester, NY. Like the cityís fine funky music, this sweet, full bodied, slightly bitter brew is sure to sway the soul and bring about a feeling of Irie. 2. One who loves 3HB.

Bottle Gift from Knackers. Nice notes of Chocolate, biscuit and rich malts. Medium body...flavors really come alive when warmed.

12oz bottle, big thanks to BrainForest. Clear red brown color. Thin off-white head, kind of bubbly. Dots and bits of lace. Mostly caramel malt. Toasty malt, kind of spicy. Touch of oxizidation, I wonder how old this is (no date found on bottle). Moderate sweet taste, mildly tangy tart, sort of light bitter, sort of a spicy bite. Medium body. Lighter carbonation, mild roughness. Slick texture. No, this is not a good beer. Iím starting to wonder if Three Heads just isnít good. I think part of the problem is that they donít date their beers. Who knows how old this beer is, but I bet itís not fresh.

Slightly cloudy amber pour with a dark ruby cast. Normal head volume, retention and lacing. Light nose of dark fruit (raisin, plum), molasses and caramel. Medium bodied with a texture that has creamy aspects. Richly carbonated with effervescence from the middle on. The flavor profile is reasonably intense (but lacks the punch of the World Class Wee Heavies), a bit complex and reasonably balanced. Blended dark fruits lead, but are a bit subdued for the style. Prune over caramel constitutes the middle as a nice effervescence takes hold. As these fade towards the finish, an herbal bitterness is prominent. The finish is a lingering herbal flavor with notes of caramel. Decent, but far from outstanding

This is a great beer for a cooler day. I had it first in the middle of summer, and it was a little heavy for the weather. It is a wonderful ale, with a nice kick.

Winter Beer Fest, Philly: Pours a murky brown. Aroma is malts and bitter chocolate. Taste is very malty. Body is a little bit on the sticky side. Not particularly good. I feel that this is a hard style to make work well.

12 oz bottle from BOTW (Rochester), served at cellar temperature in a tulip glass.

App.: Deep clear copper with a creamy light tan head. Aroma: Rich, sweet caramel and toffee, so thick and unctuous, buttery/butterscotchy, berry-like fruitiness, very slightly vegetal, rich and inviting. Palate: Medium+ body, a touch slick and moderate, creamy carbonation. Flav.: Lots of rich, sweet maltiness with some buttery notes and also some cola-like (Belgian??) herbal notes, a touch vegetal; sweet with low bitterness and a richly malty, lightly fruity finish.

Nailed it, mon.

Pour from 22oz bomber. Hazy brown ale wit tan head. Aroma of malt, some dank dark fruit smell - verging on vegetal but not unpleasant. Taste is sweel malt, dark fruit, with an earth bitter finish. Very nice.

12oz bottle from Spirits Fischer Blvd. Poured a clear mahogany body under a dense creamy beige head. Aroma has a lot going on, peat, earth, rotting raisin, bad nut shells, rotting bread. Smoother body than expected, light carbonation, creamy mouthfeel, average duration on the aftertaste. Flavor isnít as complex as the aroma but what is missing seems to be the "rotting" aromas. Notes of earth, peat, old dried out rsisin, brown bread dough, fig. Not bad.

Sweet malty smell, dark amber appearance, also a sweet taste with a little bit of a weird taste that is hard to place...maybe the hops?? no hops that are noticeable though...alcohol taste
