2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
On draft at the anchor bar. Regular floral hoppiness in the nose. Pours a deep orange. Bitter on the tongue. Leaves good lacing down the glass. Very thin mouthfeel. An average IPA. being a home town brewery, I was really hoping for more... for something to be really proud of. That being said, this is an average beer. Looking forward to trying their Ontario coast...

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Not really my style of IPA. Not sure who brought this one to the September 3R6P gathering. +++ Sampled from a 22 oz brown bottle this beer poured a cloudy orange-amber color with a small white head that left a bit of lacing. The aroma was oddly funky, earthy, herbal and piney. The flavor was tangy, bitter and a touch rough with earthy, herbal and piney hops and undertones of nut and sour caramel. The finish was long, dryish, earthy and herbal. Full bodied.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bomber. Pours dark opaque gold, thin white head. Aroma is hoppy: fuzzy kiwi, tangerine, leafy. Flavor is leafy bitter, crisp, slightly fruity/floral, but has an odd metallic (copper?) after taste. Overall, not bad.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap at the Ale House in Vestal NY.
Pours a slightly hazy golden amber color with a thinnish white head that did have good retention. Smells of pine resin and cirtus with a faint bready malt in the background. Taste is pine and citrus with grapefruit and a slight bready malt in the background. Smooth not harsh bitterness, but a nice hoppy presence. Sticky resinous mouthfeel, medium body and level of carbonation. Great easy drinking ipa with lots of flavor.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Deep amber pour with a tight white head. Hazy/cloudy pour. The aroma is softly hoppy with a bit of light citrus and a touch of dankness. The aroma also has a bit of light sweet fruitiness that seems to be yeast derived rather than from thhe hops. Fairly muted hop flavour that is a little sad. Weird sweetness that doesn’t really work either. Meh.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bomber from Half Time. Pours hazy amber gold with a small creamy beige head. Aroma is citrus and malt backed by some light stone fruit. Med+ body with creamy carb. Flavor has more than a hint of diacetyl, so ick. Butterscotch. Ick. Behind that is some nice fruit and floral. Hard to find the malt behind the butterscotch. The hop is nice tho. This rating will suffer on palate. It’s like a lot of good stuff lurks behind the butterscotch curtain. Maybe my palate will overdose and ignore; hope so.

Bomber purchased at the Village Beer Merchant in Buffalo. Pours a clear golden colour, with a very small white head and leaves behind a spongy rim of lace. Aroma is very citrus, especially grapefruit. Quite sweet. Taste is bitter and tart? Great stuff.

[3703-20110429] Tap. Fragrant evergreen pine resin aroma. Slightly hazy, pale brown orange body with a medium-lasting foamy white head. More hoppy evergreen resin notes in the flavour. Medium body is fairly bitter. Lovely hoppy brew, could happily drink a pint of this. (7/3+/9/5/16) 4.0
