3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 russwbeck (117) - Tyrone, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 30, 2011Semi-hazy yellow pour with a small white head that barely lasts, but laces a little. Really hoppy smell, a bit piney. Some fruits coming through as well. Hops up front on the taste, sort of watery afterwards though, maybe some of the fruits. Not much of an aftertaste, the taste really drops off, but a bit of the piney hops resonate. Really light, and the alcohol is well hidden. Hardly any carbonation.

Pours amber gold with a small white head. Aroma is tropical fruit, pine and citrus. Taste is subtly sweet with moderate bitters. Medium bodied and lots of carbonation.
2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 tmoreau (1624) - Lombard, Illinois, USA - MAY 4, 2013
Customer shared bomber poured to sampler glasses showing a clear golden color, with modest, white head foam and light, spotty lacing. The nose was light caramel sweetness, some graininess, then medicinal and chemical notes. Medium to light bodied, the flavor was moderately bitter, astringent, dry, and much like the aroma. Somewhat caustic, and style questionable at this point. Forgetable! I can only imagine that this was handled badly on it’s trip back to the midwest.

Pours a burnt orange, minimal head. Smells like damn orange juice and pine cones. Taste is nice bitter / malt balance but tastes a bit too boozy for a 6.8% beer. Lots of orange peel, a bit of pulp and a finish of pine resin. It’s actually really nice and a bomber isn’t too much.

Draft at Hampton Taphouse. Nice, mellow west-coast styled IPA (yes I’m aware its brewed in NY). Tons of sweet citrus and a nice bitterness level. Pleasant.

Bottle shared with Pedro. Pours a clean gold with good off-white head and some ringed lacing. Nose of pine, some citrus, pineapple and sweet caramel malt. Decent body. A little too sweet for my taste up front. A lot of caramel and toffee flavor along with some good hop flavors. Decent bitterness on the finish.
