Our mamas always taught us that you can never be too polite. In their honor, we decided to test that theory with the Too Kind. It has everything you love from the Kind IPA but jacked up to an out-of-this-world level. A hop exuberance of pine, citrus and love that plays nice with others.

Pours a hazy light orange color. Thin white head with some lacing. Earthy, pine and bread aroma. Taste is also earthy with some grain and a little musty quality. This reminds me a lot of Napa Smith Organic IPA.

Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy copper color with a nice head and some lacing. Aroma of citrus and pine, with fruit, malt and grain. taste of grapefruit and pine, with fruit and mild malt sweetness. Hop bitterness and a clean finish. Medium body, crisp quite smooth with a bit of tart thrown in. Nice beer for the style, but a bit too hopped for me.

This beer confounds me a bit. Having serious potential to be really good, its unfortunate flaws knock it down. At first whiff, the aroma is a bit malty with a hint of floral/spicy hops. Underlying this however, is a green apple smell. This caries into the flavor and overall taste of the beer. I can’t say for certain, but I suspect this beer was not properly aged. Otherwise, something else has caused a similar effect. The body is a bit thin as well. Honestly, this reminds me of homebrew... in a good way for the most part, tasting fresh and very vibrant.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a hazy gold with a moderate white head that lasted until mid-glass and left partial lace. Pleasant aroma of tropical fruit most notably orange, grapefruit and a bit of pineapple. The flavor is malt followed by orange and pine. Dry at the finish with a touch of citrus sweetness. Medium bodied.

Tap at Macgregors. Cloudy golden-orange, lace. Big citrsu hop nose, grapefruit, tropical fruits, crackers. Rather sweet flavor, honey and grapefruit, finish is a bit dull and weird.

Too Kind pours a golden, orange, yellow with a beige head that lasts a good while. The aroma is pine, citrus and earthy. The flavor is pine, earthy, with a bit of nuts and citrus. The beer feels rather buttery. Overall this is a decent brew, but it feels like it just missed the mark.

bomber into a stemmed ommengang glass. No freshness date, pretty sure this is an old bottle. Head is remarkablly large and full of volume and does not settle, at all. Still chilling at about 5 inches and going no where fast. Each time I pour into the glass the head rises more and will not be pushed, Large clouds of lacing are lingering everywhere. Im never going to get rid of this fucker. Color is a bit above a pale yellow, orange highlights, clear and some gold too. Aroma is Sweet orange, syrup thickness in there as well, over sugared candies, grapefruit, pine and tropical bunches of everything. Taste is sweet hops, not frontal bitterness, cider, pine, orange, orange spice, hops are bouncing around among the orange sweetness, and more grapefruit. Mouthfeel is sticky, punchy to the pallate, and seems dried out and aged as well, not in a good way though, seems like this one could be alot better if it was resonablly fresh. too bad I cant tell when this was from. has to be an old bottle, eh, you get what you pay for. Still, in the end, a decent ipa, the tropical vibe grows on the pallate and the hops presence melds with that nicely, it grows on you, sort of. abv is infused with the tropics as well, comes up strong on the frontal, then leans out of the way for the orange and hops, then slaps you once more in the aftertaste, typical for a dipa, west coast vibe though. Damn super head is still haning out though.
