2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
500ml @ Christmas tasting on 28 December 2010. Coppery amber colour. Seems to follow the standard Christmas beer pattern for the larger Scandinavian brewers. First take a fairly standard pale lager. Bump up the alcohol level a teensy bit. Add some caramel or colouring to darken the colour a little, taking great care to ensure the presence of loads of toffee and caramel in the flavour. Avoid hops at all costs. Make sure it is as sweet as hell. Leave in plenty of fat, under-brewed malt but skilfully contrive to make the mouthfeel thin and watery at the same time. If possible introduce some tinny or cardboardy elements. Preferably both. This one ticks all those boxes. Not exactly horrible but very dull stuff.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
(Bottle, Stockholm Beer Festival, 4 Oct 2012) Reddish brown colour with frothy, beige head. Roasted, malty nose with crisp-bread, dried fruit and spicy hops. Malty, roasted taste with notes of raisins, dark bread, a touch of brown sugar and mild, spicy bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a certain sweetness. Quite decent Christmas beer.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
UPDATED: JAN 9, 2009 Big brown head. Deep dark red body with carbonation. Fruity, malty wild berry aroma with perfumy, meaty notes. Sweet fruity malty taste with papery meaty notes. Very unusual taste. Soft, mild mouthfeel. Light body. Dryish malty wild berry aftertaste, stil with the meatiness, as well as some hoppy notes. Quite sweet; lacks bitterness. Strange, and not really that good. (0.5l can, Systembolaget, Charlottenberg.)
