2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 oh6gdx (18576) - Vasa, FINLAND - SEP 13, 2012
Draught@SBWF2011. Hazy yellowish golden colour with a minor slightly off-white head. Aroma is earthcellar, some fruity notes, mild sweet malts as well as soem bready notes. Flavour is rather similar in a nice balance. Good take on the Kellerstyle! Still lacks something in the palate and body.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 omhper (17478) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - MAY 6, 2008
Draught at Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Cloudy pale golden, dense head. Grassy nose. Dry, yet a bit fruity. Medium bodied with straighforward grasst salty hoppiness. Finishes with lasting salty bitterness. True to style - and a genuine surprise. Not only is it the first Swedish kellerbier in modern times, but it is also brewed by an otherwise very conservative regional brewer. I hope they continue this beer and also keep expanding their horizons, cause this is a good beer and will make me more postive minded towards Krönleins.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 rlgk (7474) - Skövde, SWEDEN - JUL 3, 2011
Draught at City Pub, Göteborg. Hazy golden beer with a white head. Malty fruity aroma, some toffee and caramel notes. Malty flavor with weak hop notes
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 gnoff (6320) - Mölndal, SWEDEN - MAY 27, 2008
UPDATED: AUG 27, 2010 First rating (Draught at Café 3 Små Rum) On May 27, 2008 Shady straw color, small white head. Herbal hoppy taste, rather nice and fresh. Sweet, fruity and herbal hoppy scent. Spritzy mouthfeel, medium bitterness. Really nice summer beer. 6/3/6/3/12=3.0
Rerate Draught at The Rover, On August 26, 2010 Hazy yellow color, medium white head. Herbal, grassy, banana taste. Some citrus tones as well. Fresh herbal, hoppy, nettle, sweet scent. Medium to moussy mouthfeel. Medium bitterness. If this doesn’t prove that filtration and pasteurization destroys beer, nothing does. Get it while you can! 8/4/8/3/16=4.0
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Svesse (5207) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - JUN 2, 2008
(Draught at Oliver Twist, Stockholm) Pale golden colour with brief, white head. Cloudy. Malty, slightly fruity nose with citrus, grassy hops and a clean and fresh malt character. Malty taste with notes of lemon, white bread, grassy hops and a slightly spicy finish. Fairly thin body with moderate sweetness. Rather different shot at the style but definitely interesting. And as omhper, I think that it’s nice that such a conventional brewer dares to try something new. This is better than most of their brews, so please keep it coming.
3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 larsniclas (4999) - Billdal, SWEDEN - OCT 27, 2007
Draught at Bishops Arms, Avenyn, Gotehnburg.
Hazy golden with a small, white head.
Dry and papery aroma; almost like flour.
Fine maltiness and bitterness with fruity notes from apricots. Pleasant surprise.
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 ekstedt (4545) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - SEP 10, 2007
UPDATED: MAY 30, 2011 Draught at Bishops Arms, Avenyn, Göteborg, Sweden. Hazy golden with a thin head. Grainy and honeyish malt aroma with some weak fresh grassy hops. Medium bodied and quite smooth, nicely balanced with a light but refreshing bitterness. Not exciting but extremely drinkable.
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 rickgordon (3815) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - JUN 30, 2010
Draught at City Pub, Göteborg.
Pale hazy golden colour with diminishing head. Fresh, light sulphury nose with juicy malt profile. Fresh pilsner malty and bit cookie doughy in flavour. Full-ish mouthfeel but not sweet. Solid malt structure and low on the hops, and low in bitterness. Bit of minerals chime in too in the middle of the flavour. Really good solid German Kellerbier!
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Marko (3614) - Split, CROATIA - SEP 24, 2010
Draught at The Rover, Göteborg. Poured a murky yellow body with a thick white head that went away slowly. A nice dusty grainy nose. The taste was grainy and malty again, some rice crispies, a bit dusty and herbal from the hop (that gives out a touch of acidity as well). Not bad really, not bad. A light, pleasant unfiltered pale lager, a nice surprise.
3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 gunnar (3599) - Sandnes, NORWAY - JUN 22, 2010
On tap @ City Pub, Gøteborg, Sweden. Pours hazy straw coloured with a small creamy white head. Faint malty bready aroma. Taste is yeasty with a nice maltiness, and some citrusy notes which makes this a nice bitter end of a good beer. Great summer drink.
